Fall 2017 Denim Trends: Five Pairs to Add this Fall

Fall trends are a really hot topic around GYPO lately. Believe me, I’ve been researching my booty off over the past few weeks, scouring every web site I can get my fingers on and store I can shop to compile a list of the best trends for fall 2017.  I’ve also been getting more and more requests via e-mail and social media to share what to be on the lookout for, like this question from a reader last week:

Hey Alison! What are the biggest denim trends going to be for fall 2017?  I heard that skinny jeans are on the way out. Say it isn’t so!  Is that true?

Rest easy, dear reader. Slim cut jeans will most likely never go out of style but there are a few new silhouettes, colors and styles that you’ll want to add to your denim collection to update it for fall 2017.

Five Fall 2017 Denim Trends

1.  Wide Leg and Boot Cut

Slim fitting jeans are here to stay but wide legs and boot cuts are making a comeback. Not into wide legs? Try a bitty boot cut or micro flare to ease into this trend.

2. Frayed Hems

Frayed hems are here to stay, at least for this year.  If you already have this trend covered, try a step hem for a fresh twist.

3. Embroidered

Embroidery is a huge trend for fall 2017 and jeans are no exception! They add fun details and a little color to your denim collection.

4. Saturated Hues

Sage, plum and mustard are just three of the deeply saturated hues this season that will add the wow factor to your outfit.

5. White and Off White Jeans

White jeans year-round are nothing new. These neutrals go with everything in your closet and make it feel more like a real outfit than a traditional pair of blue jeans. Pair them with black, dark green or navy to ground them for fall and winter or go rogue and pair them up with pastels.
