Four Ways to Try the “Off the Shoulder” Trend

One of the hottest summer 2016 fashion trends is “off the shoulder”.  If you think this trend isn’t for you, check out these four easy ways to pair it up that might just change your mind.

1. Casual Date Night

How to Wear it:  Pair it up with a pair of white skinny ankle jeans and denim espadrille wedges.  Accessorize with statement making hoop earrings, a delicate necklace and a cuff bracelet.

This is my new favorite summer shirt.  It’s great with white jeans or shorts!

3.  Easy Dressing

How to Wear it:  Pair up your black dress with a long layering necklace and matching earrings.  Finish it out with a pair of neutral lace up wedges for a look that’s totally on trend without trying too hard.

I recently wore this for a date night with my hubby to celebrate 24 years since our first date.

4.  Pops of Yellow

If you’re wondering what type of bra works best with off the shoulder tops and dresses, a bandeau bra is a great option.

  1. I am loving this trend, but it is a little tricky for those of us with an “ample top half”…bandeaus just don’t get it. I am considering sewing one with bra friendly straps…

  2. I love this trend so much Allison and you wear it very well too. Every woman needs a Black Off-Shoulder Top.

Though I don’t have time to comment much anymore, I stop by and catch up whenever I can. As always I love your blog. You look so pretty with your cropped hair. Hope you are enjoying your Summer!

P.S. Hope you can link up your latest with me every Thursday. <3 Ada.

    Happy 4th of July weekend!
