Rediscover Me – Video Three

Are you ready to live a first class life? It all starts with making some upgrades.

I first read about the concept of upgrades in Denise Duffield-Thomas’ book Get Rich, Lucky Bitch!: Release Your Money Blocks and Live a First Class Life. Don’t let the title throw you, this powerful little book revolutionized the way that I think about what it means to live a first class life. It’s worth a read, whether you have money blocks or not. (Warning: Strong language and new age-y concepts are part of this book. Neither of which I’m promoting. If either offends you, I don’t recommend it. If not, take what you like and leave the rest, like I did!)

Anyway, Denise introduces this concept in her chapter titled “Upgrade Your Life Now”. It’s all about feeling richer by making small incremental upgrades in your life that make a BIG difference. The thing I LOVE about this concept is it reinforces the belief that you deserve nice things, that you ARE worth it.

This isn’t about spending more than you can afford or being extravagant. It’s about the little things in life that make you feel richer – and sometimes they’re only a couple of bucks.

I’ve been participating in the GYPO Style Challenges for three years now and I’ve loved it. I’ve always loved clothes, but I didn’t know how to put outfits together. My closet is now full of mix-and-match outfits, I have learned how to dress myself, and there is no more stress in figuring out to wear. The private FB group is full of wonderful ladies that build each other up. It’s so fun and is seriously the best group on FB.

Get Your Pretty On has changed my life, seriously. I have always chased what is trendy but found from season to season, that things go out of style and I was wasting money on items that I would only end up wearing a few times.
