Try the Trend: Velvet

If velvet conjures up images of your mom’s Christmas blazer or your grandma’s Elvis painting then these five outfits might change your mind!

This season’s velvet pieces are sleek and sophisticated and add just the right amount of texture to any outfit. Velvet isn’t just for dressing up either.  You can easily pair up velvet pants casually with chunky sweaters and flats like I did recently.

These velvet pants fit so well and are so comfortable that I’m planning to get them in other colors.  Here they are in red worn with sneakers.  See?  Very versatile!

  • I remember having a burgundy velour baby doll dress that I obsessedly wore for Christmas in grade 10. I loved that thing and I wish I would have kept the entire outfit…I want all these things and velvet shoes. #obsessedagain

    • It is so fun how we remember and love special pieces of clothing from the past! I love that you are obsessed again. 🙂

I keep remembering crushed velvet dance costumes and Christmas dresses so I probably will not be adventurous with the trend. I might pick up those flats since they are gorgeous! Jess at Just Jess
