Happy March! Can you believe it’s March already? It seems like not that long ago we were talking about Christmas cookies and holiday party outfits but now we’re eagerly anticipating the warmer weather that spring promises. In some parts of the world flowers are starting to make their appearance while for others, you’re probably just happy when you can see the grass amid the snow. No matter what your weather holds today we’re talking about how to style a great closet staple that will work beautifully in winter but that you can transition into spring – black jeans. Just like white jeans, we know that black jeans can be just as polarizing. However, they are also just as versatile. That’s why we’re showing you three different ways we’re styling black jeans that will easily take you from winter months to spring!
Option #1
Camel Coat + Printed Blouse + Black Jeans + Brown Shoes

For our first look, we’re styling black jeans with a trench coat, a printed blouse, and finally some mules. This is the perfect layered outfit for those cool spring morning days followed by warm afternoons. Our winter looks, however, swap out the trench coat for something a little warmer, a wool camel coat and we’re keeping your feet toasty and dry with some brown ankle boots.
Option #2
Utility Jacket + neutral Top + Black Jeans + Black Shoes

The second way to style black jeans is with a solid neutral top and utility jacket. For winter we’re opting for a solid ivory sweater and finishing it off with some Chelsea boots. Then for the spring look, we’re subbing in a sleeveless ivory knit and adding in some black slip-ons for extra comfort. A black handbag finished off both looks and jewelry is kept simple with some fun gold earrings.
Option #3
Denim Jacket + Striped Top + Black Jeans + White boots/sneakers

A denim jacket is the perfect topper for this striped look! We styled the winter version with a striped sweater for added warmth, then added in some white boots, and a black crossbody bag. Then for spring simply swap in a striped tee, some white sneakers, and finished off with a white crossbody.
