ALL ABOUT ALISON.

A personal stylist, mom of three and recovering yoga pants addict, this entrepreneur is on a mission to get every woman to feel pretty and confident in their every-day style.
HELLO.
I’m a wife, mom of three, entrepreneur, INFJ, coffee worshiper and goat lover. Yes, I said goats. At the heart of it all I’m truly a jeans and tee kind of girl who loves spending time with my family and exploring the best tex mex restaurants in Dallas, TX. I’m an accidental minimalist when it comes to fashion and style, mixing my tried and true closet staples with a few seasonal trends. My goal is to provide the inspiration, tools and support to make it as easy as possible for my readers to feel pretty every day. Feeling pretty isn’t a vain pursuit; I’m here to help you feel more confident in your style and empowered in your choices. Women who feel good in their own skin are always the prettiest – and that touches every area of their lives.

Style Challenges® is an online wardrobe styling program that provides members with a seasonal shopping list of trendy and classic pieces styled into mix and match outfits. Since the first Style Challenge® in 2014, over 10,000 women in 20 countries have rediscovered their style, regained their confidence and made new friends in our vibrant community.

My Story

My Mom Rut

I started Get Your Pretty On a few years ago after falling into my own yoga pants mom rut. After a few years of working from home, I’d lost all accountability and motivation for getting dressed and taking care of myself. It was negatively impacting more than just my appearance. To get out of my mom rut, I carved out time to feel pretty every morning by putting on a little makeup, fixing my hair (in something other than a ponytail) and getting dressed in real clothes. When I picked up my daughter from school the first day of my new routine she said “Mommy, what happened to you? You look PRETTY!” That was when I decided to make the commitment to looking and feeling better – not just for myself, but for my family too.

Starting GYPO turned out to be the kick in the yoga pants I needed to make an effort every day to stay out of my mom rut.

Since then, my goal has been to share what I’m learning and make easy style and beauty available to women just like me. At GYPO you’ll find lots of easy ways to feel pretty that work for your daily life. I love helping other moms gain confidence and feel great through accessible style, simple outfit formulas and easy beauty tips that work for everyday.

Easy, Affordable Style

Great style is really about having the right pieces and knowing how to put them together. In the spring of 2014 I started the original online personal styling program that broke all the rules, Style Challenges by GYPO. Each season, I create an on-trend seasonal shopping list and a capsule wardrobe of outfits made up from pieces on the list. You don’t have to be wealthy to have your own personal stylist, Style Challenges by GYPO are at a price point that anyone can afford. Shop where you want, spend what you want. No boxes or subscriptions!

Whether you’ve forgotten what pretty feels like, are ready to rediscover your style or just want looking put together to be a little easier, you’re at the right place!

My Life as a Mom and Wife

I’m incredibly blessed to be married to my best friend Craig (we met on a blind date!) and to share our family life in the north Dallas suburbs. We have three kids – Devon, our college senior biology major, Aubrey, our kindhearted college sophomore, and Ava, our 14 year-old that’s crazy about horses.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll stick around. After all, it’s even better to feel pretty together!

xoxo, Alison
