10 Winter Work Wear Essentials + 5 Outfits

Winter work wear can be a little tricky.  Sometimes it’s hard to balance warmth with work appropriate.  I don’t know about you but back in my corporate America days my office felt more like a meat locker.  If you know me well, you also know that being cold is one of my least favorite things in the world.  So, of course I came up with a solution – an illegally smuggled space heater hidden under my desk.  🙂

I’m certainly not encouraging you to do anything to jeopardize your job.  There are definitely better ways to stay warm, like wearing the pieces from my list of 10 winter work wear essentials.

I’m willing to bet you already have quite a few of these pieces in your closet.  If not, remember that these items are classics that will stand the test of time.  My rule of thumb is to invest a little more into quality if you’re planning to get more mileage out of them.

Keep your pieces neutral or in the same color palette to get the most wear out of them.  You can always add in color with scarves and accessories.
