May 29, 2013 - Easy Outfits, I Feel Pretty, Style

I Feel Pretty | All American

What three words would you use to describe your style?

Mine would have to be casual, classic and simple.

Today’s outfit is all three.

Red Shorts Blue Oxford 34

This is what I wore for our Memorial Day festivities on Monday.  (If you want to read more about it, check out this post).  I wanted to wear something with a nod to patriotism without looking too kitschy…or dressing up like Uncle Sam.

It’s Your Turn:  How would you sum up your style in three words?  Tell me in the comments!

I Feel Pretty

It’s the day of the week at GYPO where we celebrate what makes us feel pretty.  Whether it’s a new outfit, hairstyle, or makeup, the I Feel Pretty link up is about anything and everything that makes your life prettier.  Even if you’re not a blogger, you can still play along.  Just tell me what made you feel pretty this week in the comments!

But first, let’s take a look at last week’s Pretty of the Week.

She’s Mrs. C. of Mrs. Jack of All Trades!

Read more about her sleek white suit and tribute to Angelina Jolie’s recent brave decision HERE.

Now on to this week’s party!

I Feel Pretty

Link up your outfits or anything else that makes you feel pretty. There are just a few simple rules:

1. Follow GYPO. (Facebook, Twitter, Bloglovin‘)

2. Link up your pretty post.

3. Link back to my blog (using the button above or your own link).

4. Visit other pretty peeps.

That’s it! Let the fun begin.

I love the shorter shorts with the wedges! Shorter shorts make everyone’s legs look longer and leaner (especially with a wedge!). So cute!

Always so perfectly polished my dear:) Love the look. Kind of went for the same casual but still pulled together and a nod to the holiday…

I always say my style is classic simple and modern…but who really knows? Some days it isn’t any of those adjectives.
Hope you had an awesome Memorial Weekend…

You look so cute in those red shorts. I need help with my causual wardrobe. I only have nice clothes for work, and clothes that look like I’ve been cleaning the garage.

Love those shorts; going to check Target to buy a pair!

My style is as clean cut and matching as I can make it. I know that the trend is to mix colors, but other than rhinestone necklaces, I have a really hard time stepping outside my comfort zone and mixing the colors that I wear……sad, but at five feet tall, sometimes, keeping it to one color is better.

Hey, pretty lady! You look totally summer ready! I love the shoes.

You are definitely looking very American in your Red, White & Blue Outfit and I love the warmth that the Camel/Cognac Color adds. Those are some Great Shorts & Shoes.

The Outfit you chose as the best last week from Mrs. Jack of All Trades was one of My Most Favorites of the week too. I also featured it on My Week’s Best Round-up. Loved that all-white. =)

You really have me thinking about wearing shorts with wedge sandals. You look so great in them. I’m not sure I can pull it off, but I’m going to give it a try. Whether it makes it to the blog is a question mark at this point. Gave you a shout out in my most recent post Alison. I love your navy and orange that you wore recently!

My style in three words? Easy. Evolving. Adventurous.

I’m willing to try almost anything once. In a lot of cases, I never try it again, but I’m finally in a place where fashion is fun for me, so one day, I may wear a classic dress and pumps, and the next day, a body con mini skirt and sneakers. I wear whatever I feel like wearing each day, and I love that I finally feel free to do that :)

This post inspired me to look through my bag collection. All my purses are brown, grey or black. Blah! Now I’m on the hunt for an emerald green or yellow bag. I want a bag to add a pop of color to my outfits.
