I Feel Pretty | Self Controlled?

Today’s blog post is a testament to my self control.  Or lack thereof.  I’m really not sure.

On one hand, I told myself I wasn’t going to shop the 3.1 Philip Lim for Target collection.  But then I did.  On the other hand, I only bought two pieces from it.

Self control?  Yes and no.

There were WAY more pieces that I wanted but I managed to limit it to just two – the blouse and the tote.

This outfit is also what I wore for a lunch “blate” with Sheaffer on Monday.  What could possibly be more appropriate to wear on a blogger date than a Target designer collab?  🙂

Avery Lane Boutique Giveaway

Although it’s not quite cool enough yet, later in the season I’ll be taking the chill off this outfit by adding this houndstooth hooded jacket from Avery Lane Boutique.  It’s just the right weight and I love how the bold pattern mixes with florals.  It will also look cute with colored denim and ankle boots.

  1. Your shirt and bag are even prettier in person….and your pants…and your shoes…AND YOU! Seriously! So happy to have you in my life. You are beautiful inside and out, and the perfect person to have a blate with!

  2. I think you did really well only buying two pieces! And you’ll definitely get plenty of wear out of both of them! I somehow abstained from buying anything from the collection, but I’m still lusting after the gorgeous bags!

  3. Lucky you that you got some of the collection. by the time I got there it was all gone (and all I really wanted was the scarf).

The shirt looks lovely on you!

  4. You are far better than I my friend. I planned to go out, and then didn’t. And then stalked everyone’s goodies…and will now either pray to win something or buy a piece at a ridiculously inflated price via kijiji. Not so smart.

    Looking gorgeous! xo

  5. 1. I have been trying SO hard not to go into Target since the new line came out…..it is SO hard!
    2. I love that houndstooth jacket!
    3. I may need to go to Target and get that bag…it’s calling my name!

  6. What a Gorgeous Blouse Alison – the Colors are perfect for Fall. Those Pants are Sexy & Sharp, not your regular Khakis. And I love your heels.

I am also wearing Khakis & a Blouse today. Great minds think alike. Check it out.

    Happy Hump Day, Ada. =)

  7. Lucky for me, there is a Target right around the corner from my work. Looks like I might need to make a lunch hour trip! I absolutely love that bag and your adorable outfit!

  8. I swear I left a comment – I don’t know what happened. Anyway I said I love your Gorgeous Blouse & Shoes. Perfect Fall Colors. And those are not your typical Khakis. They are Sexy & Sharp.

I am also wearing Khakis with a Blouse today. Great minds think alike. Check it out!!

My Pleasure linking up, Alison. =)

  9. I love the pieces that you ended up with – tapue is such a perfect color for that bag and the blouse is gorgeous! I love how you styled everything, too!

  10. I only bought two bags, one of which I am giving to a friend. I told myself that was the only thing I was allowed to buy, even though I wanted that top you got!! Super cute! And can we talk about that coat? This one is gonna be a staple this season!

  11. Ha! Self-control…it was really hard to do that on Sunday morning at Target!! I grabbed a few bags for myself (which I really wanted) and two clothing items. You know, the quality is good, so why not?!

  12. You know, I saw that blouse in Target and thought to myself how pretty it is, but for some reason didn’t buy it. I’m not quite sure what I was thinking. It looks even prettier on you than it does on the hanger and I love the heels you paired it with! I think you made two really great decisions with those pieces, and kudos to you for not letting yourself go overboard (which we all know is way too easy to do at Target!)

  13. You did good!! I ordered more than I should have because of FOMO (fear of missing out!) I have not received the items yet, but I am pretty sure I will be returning some of the pieces! Loving the bags from this collection though! I love the color theme in this outfit and the way you styled these pieces!
This cape-jacket from Avery Lane is a dream!! I’d love to get my hand son it:-) Hope I win!! Have a wonderful day!

  14. I had to work on Sunday and i missed out. My friend stood in line but by the time she got in all the purses were gone. That’s all that i wanted. HOpefully they will restock. I’ll keep my eyes open. Love your outfit. Good on you for exercising such self control.

  15. I ordered that purse too.. in black and purple as well to see which one I like best. I tried ordering the mini mustard one, but it was already sold out before I got to check out…

  16. That is an awesome fall outfit! Ah, Target. Between the fashions and the home furnishing, Tar-jay is going to be the death of my bank account! Self-control, right? Sigh. I have none, so I’m trying not to go there.

  17. Good for you girl…I saw peeps go CRAZY on instagram buying so many pieces…lol.
Love the blouse..its beautiful on you…I skip the Target collabs because I feel like i will see someone in the same thing….but I might not have been able to pass up that gorgeous blosue..its perfection on you.

  18. I shopped the Phillip Lim for Target collection this weekend, also- and definitely had to reign myself in, lest I buy up everything on the racks! I’m actually featuring the large black carryall in a blog today- love it.

You look lovely- digging that gorgeous blouse. 🙂

  21. I am also on a budget so I only got the mini philip lim ‘pashli bag’ though there were so many items that i want to bring home.
