Pretty Fix: The March List + Spring Style Sneak Peek

Pretty Fix The March List2

The Pretty Fix is a monthly feature at Get Your Pretty On that features my top five picks for the month that you can shop for on your own to stay in style…all at a price you’ll love. The idea for it was born out of frustration that some of you have had with other monthly box services that you feel “miss the mark” or are too pricey.

Each month, the Pretty Fix includes five items that I personally recommend to stay on trend. This month features pieces to get your spring 2016 wardrobe started off on the right foot.  Each item represents one of the hottest spring trends.

Oh and the best part?  You can get every piece in the fix for around $100 total.

Consider me your budget-minded personal shopper. Here’s your March Pretty Fix.

MARCH PRETTY FIX TOTAL = $117.50

1. Floppy Hat – $17

Spring Trend:  Boho

The floppy hat is a boho basic that’s big for spring.  It’s going to be great with everything from spring dresses to t-shirts and jeans.  If wearing a hat feels like “too much” for every day, try one when you’re on spring break or when spending time out in the sun.

2. Floral Scarf – $10

Spring Trend:  Floral

A pretty floral scarf is an instant way to add some spring style to your outfit.  Use the colors in your scarf for inspiration to create the rest of your outfit around it.

3. Dusty Rose Nail Polish – $8

Spring Trend:  Pastels

This pink nail polish is a go-with-everything neutral pastel that looks great on fingers and toes.

4. Peep Toe Booties – $68

Spring Trend:  Neutral Booties

If you don’t have a pair of neutral peep toe booties yet, RUN, don’t walk to get this pair.  They are as soft as butter and the comfiest heels I’ve ever owned.  They look great with skirts, dresses, cuffed jeans, flared jeans, you name it.  This will be your most worn pair of shoes for spring, I promise!

5. Tassel Necklace – $14.50

Spring Trend:  Tassels

Tassels are definitely having a moment.  Try this easy trend with a tassel necklace that you’ll want to wear every day. Here’s a similar tassel necklace.

  • OH so pretty, love that scarf and nail polish, oh who are we kidding, I want it all!

  • Kristen Carpenter

Ahh! Spring is in the air. This is so well “pretty” as it’s titled. I really love that scarf!

I have to admit that the spring/summer colors for 2016 are “yuck” for me. I have deep winter coloring and all of the warm pastels look awful on me. Could you make any color substitution suggestions for us “deep” girls?

  • Marianne Cox

Alison, is the link on the nail polish for an OPI called dusty rose or is it really the Barefoot in Barcelona? You might just be suggesting dusty rose colors for spring. Just want to make sure I order the one shown.

  • i’m so unsure about mules… maybe I need a shoe-shopping day to convince me!
