Style Me Challenge | Spring 2014

Spring Style Me Header 2Imagine having every piece of your spring wardrobe in your closet PLUS a season’s worth of casual chic outfits that you can wear for virtually any informal occasion.  No more looking into your closet and wondering what to wear or wandering around the mall not knowing what to buy.  All the work is done for you!

I’m so excited to announce the first ever “Style Me” Spring Challenge at Get Your Pretty On!  I want to be your personal shopper and virtual stylist for spring.

How Does it Work?:

On Friday, April 4th, you’ll receive your spring wardrobe shopping list.  Don’t worry – you won’t have to invest a ton of money to participate.  Many of the pieces will likely already be in your closet!  I’ve also made my best effort to provide you with affordable options that work for all body types.

You’ll have ten days to complete your shopping before the daily outfits begin.  On Monday, April 14th and for the next three weeks, you’ll receive one new outfit combo each morning.  You can choose to style your pieces to wear the outfit that day or save it for another day.  It’s totally up to you!  All of the outfit images will be downloadable and printable so you can create a binder or file to refer back to.

What it Includes:

  • Spring Shopping List – Your eighteen-piece spring wardrobe with links to recommended items and a downloadable .pdf shopping list that you can print and take with you (released on April 4th).
  • Three Weeks of Daily Outfits – A different outfit combo each day created from the eighteen pieces in your spring wardrobe (starting at 7:00 p.m. CT on April 13th).  The outfits are designed for the busy mom on the go who wants to look cute and put together.  But they also make great weekend outfits for working moms or any woman who wants a casual, chic wardrobe for everyday.  They will follow the casual chic outfit formulas similar to my Daily Style Diary posted on Instagram.
  • Facebook Group – A private Facebook group to show off your style!  Each week I will feature a few of my favorite looks on GYPO.  This is also a great place to ask questions about the challenge and share advice.  Participation is optional but I strongly encourage it!

What Does Sign Up Cost?:

I’ve made it very affordable at just $10 per participant ($20 for registration after the challenge has started).  Other bloggers and stylists are charging virtual styling fees much higher than this for just one or two looks.  You’ll be getting a whole season’s worth of outfits plus a shopping list at an unheard of price!  It’s like having a personal shopper AND virtual stylist.

Will it Cost a lot to Get the Pieces on the Shopping List?:

My goal was to make this challenge as affordable as possible, so I’ve included a lot of items you probably already own.  I’ve also provided inexpensive shopping options where I could.  You’re free to shop wherever you’d like for the pieces, so what you spend is totally up to you.  You may even choose to invest a little more.  Many of the items are pieces you’ll want to wear season after season!

What if I Sign Up and Don’t Like the Pieces/Outfits?:

You have two weeks from the release of the shopping list to request a full refund.  You should have a feel for how it works and if the outfits are right for you by then.  Here’s a typical outfit from one of the days.

Note:  Because there are only eighteen pieces on the list, certain items will repeat in various outfits throughout the 21 days.  I have tried my best to space out these pieces and to not use any one item more than four times.

What if I Can’t Find the Pieces on the Shopping List?

I’ve tried to include pieces that could be found anywhere.  But just in case you have any issues, I’ve provided substitutions for a lot of the pieces.  As long as you keep them in the same color family, you shouldn’t have any problem doing the challenge.

Countdown Clocks

This challenge is now over but the shopping list and outfits are available for immediate purchase!

After checking out, you will be redirected to a registration page on my site.  You MUST enter the e-mail address that you want the program delivered to on this page.  If you don’t, you won’t receive the content.

If for any reason you aren’t redirected to this page, please e-mail me at and I will manually add you to the list.

What Participants are Saying:

I ABSOLUTELY love this challenge! One of the best parts of this list is how affordable it is! Each person can choose to spend as much or as little as they want on clothing items. I love that we will style clothes that can be from Target or Saks-and look absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you! Today was a breakthrough for me; I felt so good, confident and stylish, and yet still so comfortable–in my outfit and in my own skin. I wasn’t hiding under baggy clothes, wasn’t tugging on something that didn’t fit well, and wasn’t wearing something that didn’t feel like ME. What a difference! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU all!

Looking at the clothes in my closet a whole different way…not something I would of even thought of a week ago….thank you for “challenging” me to go outside my “comfort level”!

I’m getting so many good ideas here and learning so much from what you’ve shared, I’ve started a little folder of pics/ideas to take shopping. Feel like I know what I’m looking for and shopping smarter. Thanks, to all of you!

It’s nice to have a group of positive women encouraging each other. It’s very refreshing in our world-I’m feeling good about my body and clothing choices instead of feeling like I don’t measure up. Thanks ladies and Alison.
