The good news or bad news, depending on how you feel about it, is that there’s plenty of winter left. Now’s the perfect time to take advantage of some of the bargains that are going on. The pieces that I’m featuring today are all classics that you can wear season after season. Even if you have to pack up your winter wardrobe soon, you’ll still get plenty of wear from these pieces when you pull them out again next winter.

This long beige cardigan has gotten more wear in my wardrobe than practically anything else this fall and winter. It’s the right weight and adds the perfect layer of warmth to just about anything. It’s also on sale for 35% off HERE.
Sizing Tip: It runs a size large so you’ll want to size down. I’m wearing an XS.
Burgundy jeans are one of my winter staples and they pair perfectly with neutrals, patterns, prints and even leopard! This pair has cute zippers at the ankle and is on sale for $30 off regular price! You can get them HERE.
Gray jeans are SO much more fun than blue denim and they are just as versatile! This stretchy pair is very forgiving and comfortable too. They’re called leggings but feel more like jeans to me. Get them HERE for $30 off!
Worried that velvet is too trendy? The neutral color of this velvet vest ensures that it has staying power. Plus the velvet can be easily dressed up or down. It’s also on sale for $50 off HERE!
Sizing Tip: This vest runs a little big. You may want to size down.
This classic camel wool topcoat was one of my favorite finds for winter. I’ve gotten so much wear from it already and am sure I will in years to come. It’s on sale for half price HERE.
Sizing Tip: I’m wearing a size 2. This coat fits true to size.
My coat is low in stock on some sizes but here’s another one on sale.
I’ve had my Frye riding boots for five years and they’re still going strong – so worth the investment! This is the best time of the year to snag a pair on sale. Get them HERE for 25% off!
It’s the day of the week at GYPO where we celebrate what makes us feel pretty. Whether it’s a new outfit, hairstyle, or makeup, the I Feel Pretty link up is about anything and everything that makes your life prettier. Even if you’re not a blogger, you can still play along. Just tell me what made you feel pretty this week in the comments.
Hey Pretties! The new year is just around the corner so it’s time to start thinking about setting intentions and making the most of the year ahead.
I’ve worn many hats in my career but one of the most fulfilling has been as a professional life and business coach. Working with women to create lives where they feel passionate, focused and motivated is truly one of the most rewarding feelings ever. Although I don’t actively coach one-on-one anymore, I’m still very passionate about helping women figure out what they want and how to get it.
A few years ago, I rolled out a group coaching program called the Rediscover Me Challenge. Part of the reason I created this program was due to women in the GYPO Style Challenge asking for something more. After rediscovering confidence through style, many of them were ready to dig deep and work on other areas of their lives…and it’s been nothing short of AMAZING. Since it’s start, over 1,000 women have experienced incredible results and many have described it as “truly life changing”.
The program includes 28 days of my most effective coaching exercises – all delivered in bite-sized pieces perfect for working through with your morning cup of coffee. Rediscover Me focuses on figuring out and creating more of what you want out of life. For four weeks, participants get daily videos and printable exercises filled with coaching techniques to dig deep, set goals and create the life you want. You can sign up for three free days of the challenge at this link.
This challenge used to only be offered twice a year but due to demand, I’ve opened it for year-round enrollment. It also includes a private Facebook group where participants can get support and share their challenges and transformations. The best part? Once you join, you’re always a member. You can go back and do the challenge over again anytime you need a tune up. Some women go through it two or more times per year. But we’ll be starting it LIVE together on January 2nd, 2018.
Today I’m introducing you to a concept from the challenge that I learned about several years ago that’s changed my life for the better in small but significant ways. It’s all about eliminating tolerations from our lives.
What’s a toleration, you ask? It’s basically anything you’re putting up with that drains your energy.
Watch the video to learn more about some of the things I was tolerating – from complaining friends to a lumpy pillow and dull razors. This video has a call to action for you to make your own list and start tackling tolerations. You’ll be amazed at how great it feels!
I mention a 28 Day Challenge Facebook group in this video. This closed group is available for paid participants of the challenge.
It’s Your Turn: Print off the PDF above to make a list of your own tolerations. See how many you can knock out this week and tell us about them in the comments! Be sure to sign up for all three free videos and exercises from the Rediscover Me Challenge HERE.
REDISCOVER ME – 60% OFF!
To celebrate the relaunch of Rediscover Me, I’m offering this challenge at 60% off the regular price of $99. Enroll now for just $39! This offer ends at midnight on 1/31/18. Click the image below to learn more and sign up.
You know by now that I’m a big proponent of not going out and buying new outfits for special events. As long as you have a fully stocked closet of pieces you love, there’s no reason to spend money on what you don’t need!
That’s why today I’m mixing and matching more pieces from the Winter 2017 GYPO Style Challenge to shop my closet and create New Year’s Eve looks. Whether you’re spending a quiet evening in or going out to dinner, there’s an outfit here that will work for you.
And if you’re totally stumped for outfit ideas, remember this one simple rule: All black ALWAYS works! Add a little leopard and bling to make it totally party appropriate.
It’s Your Turn: Will you be getting glam and glitzy for NYE or cozy and comfy?

Hey pretties! So who among us wouldn’t love to have fuller, poutier lips? I know I would, especially now that I’m over 40. My lips seems to be getting thinner and less full every year!
Recently I learned an easy and VERY effective little trick from a makeup artist that I couldn’t wait to share with you. Watch this quick video to learn how to fake fuller, poutier lips. It works like a charm, no injections required. I know you’re going to love this trick as much as I do!

As 2016 drew to a close, I decided to take a leap of faith. While I had been introduced to GYPO’s Style Blog and Facebook page by a friend, I had yet to commit to participating in a GYPO Style Challenge. I was hesitant because I didn’t trust that I could actually be stylish again. After years of donning comfortable, practical clothing as I raised my two rambunctious boys, I was almost certain my style had completely left the building! I would brush off participating in a Style Challenge for numerous reasons. I didn’t have the time, I didn’t want to overspend and I didn’t want to purchase things I wouldn’t use or actually like. But then, as I kept getting these amazing GYPO emails and I learned more, not only about Style Challenges but Alison herself, it all started to feel very accessible. Maybe I could get my style back, maybe I could enjoy fashion in a way I hadn’t in a long time, and maybe, just maybe, I could find a little bit of that woman I left behind after the birth of my first son.
Finally, I took the plunge. I went all in and signed up for an Annual Membership. It seemed like a great value for all the style support I would get and I liked that ultimately, I would choose my own pieces. I can be particular about fabrics as I live in a hot, humid climate and there are some trends that I won’t do. I won’t list those trends here because one woman’s gaucho pants is another woman’s furry scarf. We all like what we like and with the GYPO Style Challenges, you’re able to keep your closet authentic to you!
Once I signed up, I immediately set to work building my basics. The 14 piece capsule wardrobe that was complimentary after I signed up was amazing. This is how I kept myself fashion focused until the first Style Challenge began in the spring of the following year. Here are a few important lessons that I learned as I built up my wardrobe.
1. Be Patient: First and foremost, be patient with yourself and the process. Know that this is a process. My closet was serviceable (yay to the leopard flats that I bought the previous summer!), but it needed a lot of work.
2. Start Small: I started small and gradually, over time, have amassed a solid foundation of basics.
3. Basics are Key: Basics are your everything! They are the canvas on which you express your awesome individuality and preferences through accessories.
4. Have Fun with Accessories: Accessories are like the cherry on top of a wonderful outfit sundae. You can be as trendy or as classic as you want. It’s all up to you!
Here’s a pic of me in one of the first outfits I put together with the guidance of the 14 piece capsule wardrobe builder. Everything is from Target except the scarf which I purchased on Amazon.
In all honesty, for following trends you love, the likes of Target and even Amazon are ideal. They are cost-effective and allow you to express yourself without breaking the bank. However, there are times I encourage you to splurge. I purchased the Brio Tassel Necklace through Alison’s Stella and Dot affiliate link and I have worn it again and again. It has graced my neck for date nights, when I’m wearing a Cubs baseball jersey (which is a lot during baseball season) and with about every outfit combination I could muster. I love that necklace to pieces! That is the goal, for you to love your wardrobe as much as I love my Brio necklace.
At first, it was hard to imagine, but I actually fell in love my style again! This isn’t to say that I still don’t make fashion faux pas because believe me, I do. I am inclined on some days to run errands post-workout for the mere convenience of it. If you happen to see me out and about in the world, you may catch me in an awesome GYPO moment, or I may be post-workout with my hair in a pony-tailed mess. I’m okay either way because being part of the GYPO community has helped me remember something I’ve long forgotten. It helped realize I am just as valuable as all the people I take care of, nurture and love. Every time I get a GYPO email, I know for those next few, precious moments I am dedicating my attention to only me. This has a cumulative effect. Eventually, if you take the Style Challenge plunge, too, you will feel better about yourself, even on the days you find yourself in your proverbial yoga pants. Because as we know, our true beauty is shining inside us waiting to be uncovered. You already are beautiful. Now isn’t it time you find your way back to you?

I’ve been participating in the GYPO Style Challenges for three years now and I’ve loved it. I’ve always loved clothes, but I didn’t know how to put outfits together. My closet is now full of mix-and-match outfits, I have learned how to dress myself, and there is no more stress in figuring out to wear. The private FB group is full of wonderful ladies that build each other up. It’s so fun and is seriously the best group on FB.

Get Your Pretty On has changed my life, seriously. I have always chased what is trendy but found from season to season, that things go out of style and I was wasting money on items that I would only end up wearing a few times. GYPO has enabled me to simplify my closet, helps me make smarter purchasing decisions, and I feel so put together and confident using the outfit formulas that are provided. This program is a GAME CHANGER. I've been following GYPO for a few years now and my only regret is not jumping on board sooner.

Great community of ladies, helping each other look stylish, without breaking the bank, and using much of what you already own.

GYPO challenges have been one of the best things I have done! It had taught me so much more than just creating a closet of clothes that I love but also to have confidence in myself, how to pick and choose colors that work for me instead of against, and had given a wonderful community of Pretties who are so special.
