I Feel Pretty | at Brunch

Over the weekend, Craig and I planned a mini getaway for our 15th anniversary.  Although we usually go out of town each year, we decided to stay local this time and booked a night at a hotel close to home.  I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss our usual getaway, it’s always one of the highlights of our year.  But with a son heading off to college today, it seemed more prudent to stay close to home.

Did I mention he’s moving in TODAY?  Mama’s freaking out just a little.  🙁

Since we’re squeezing in as much family time as possible before he goes, we took the kids to brunch to celebrate our anniversary with us.  I felt comfortable and put together in this maxi skirt, tank top and denim jacket.

My new St. Anne Tote from Barrington Gifts was perfect for our weekend getaway.  This tote bag is big but very lightweight so it’s great for everyday.  I love that it can hold just about anything I want to stash in it like a cardigan, water bottle or even my laptop.  The coolest thing is that you can customize all of their bags in the pattern and color of your choice.  They even offer personalization with your initials.   You can check out all of the colors and styles for yourself at BarringtonGifts.com.

You ALWAYS look put together! 🙂 Were you not hot in that jacket in Texas!? Is it a cool summer there like it is here in PA? Anyway, I want a new maxi skirt. I had a loud chevron one and a black one and I feel like I need an easy light-colored one that is versatile. I’m going to check that one out.

It is HOT Jo-Lynne! We just got a mini-reprieve with some rain over the weekend. I’m always cold so I always have a cardigan or denim jacket with me. This is my first solid color maxi and I love it!

You look so adorable & very put together in this outfit!! You can’t go wrong with a great maxi skirt & denim jacket. All the best with your soon moving today-my girls are so still small so I couldn’t imagine the day when they are moving and going off to college! I’d be worried just the same but I’m sure it’ll all go well:)

Brunch is one of those outings that I have a hard time with because you don’t want to be too dressed up or too casual. This look is perfect! Thanks for hosting the link up and good luck today!

Such a great look! Happy Anniversary, my husband and I are celebrating 15 years too. Actually my favorite way to celebrate is a simple overnight in the city with my husband. Our children love spending time with cousins, grandparents ect…without Mom and Dad so it’s a Win Win! Good luck with the move, what an exciting time!!!

As a mom of a 26 and 24 year old, I know how you feel about taking them off to college! I think I cried the whole 3 hours back home after dropping off our first. It wasn’t much easier the second time either. Not to worry though…they do come home…usually with a big basket of laundry! 🙂 College years go way too fast…enjoy them!

We celebrated our 30th anniversary on the way home from our vacation in FL this July at a B&B in Ludington, MI. Then we took the ferry across Lake Michigan with our vehicle and traveled on home to central WI. Very fun way to celebrate!

I know you will miss him. I do love that tote! I think I will put that on my anniversary wish list. I can always use a fabulous bag! Susan

I love keeping it simple and just going out to dinner or ordering in and staying at home with Netflix. But I’m a homebody. This year since it’s our 10 year anniversary I think we might recreate our first date.

Happy anniversary! I love your whole ensemble, but the earrings and tote are my favorite part.

I haven’t been married long enough to celebrate a wedding anniversary! Last year, my husband proposed the weekend of our dating anniversary, so that was a pretty fun way to celebrate. I was sick on our first dating anniversary, so we spent the night in bed, watching Star Trek, while I ate chicken noodle soup and he ate McDonald’s. But watching Star Trek is one of our favorite activities to do together. 🙂
