May 29, 2013 - Easy Outfits, I Feel Pretty, Style

I Feel Pretty | All American

What three words would you use to describe your style?

Mine would have to be casual, classic and simple.

Today’s outfit is all three.

Red Shorts Blue Oxford 34

This is what I wore for our Memorial Day festivities on Monday.  (If you want to read more about it, check out this post).  I wanted to wear something with a nod to patriotism without looking too kitschy…or dressing up like Uncle Sam.

I Feel Pretty

It’s the day of the week at GYPO where we celebrate what makes us feel pretty.  Whether it’s a new outfit, hairstyle, or makeup, the I Feel Pretty link up is about anything and everything that makes your life prettier.  Even if you’re not a blogger, you can still play along.  Just tell me what made you feel pretty this week in the comments!

But first, let’s take a look at last week’s Pretty of the Week.

She’s Mrs. C. of Mrs. Jack of All Trades!

Now on to this week’s party!

  1. I love the shorter shorts with the wedges! Shorter shorts make everyone’s legs look longer and leaner (especially with a wedge!). So cute!

  2. Love your casual, simple, classic style! Loving the short and wedges. If I had three words to describe my style it would probably be simple, cool and laid back. 🙂

  3. My style would be, quirky, creative, funky.

Great casual summer outfit. Relaxed but you still look polished. How do you do that? : )

  4. Beautiful! This is the quintessentially perfect summer outfit and great for Memorial Day! I hope you had a great weekend!

  5. Always so perfectly polished my dear:) Love the look. Kind of went for the same casual but still pulled together and a nod to the holiday…

I always say my style is classic simple and modern…but who really knows? Some days it isn’t any of those adjectives.
Hope you had an awesome Memorial Weekend…

  6. You look so cute in those red shorts. I need help with my causual wardrobe. I only have nice clothes for work, and clothes that look like I’ve been cleaning the garage.

  7. Love those shorts; going to check Target to buy a pair!

My style is as clean cut and matching as I can make it. I know that the trend is to mix colors, but other than rhinestone necklaces, I have a really hard time stepping outside my comfort zone and mixing the colors that I wear……sad, but at five feet tall, sometimes, keeping it to one color is better.

  8. You are definitely looking very American in your Red, White & Blue Outfit and I love the warmth that the Camel/Cognac Color adds. Those are some Great Shorts & Shoes.

The Outfit you chose as the best last week from Mrs. Jack of All Trades was one of My Most Favorites of the week too. I also featured it on My Week’s Best Round-up. Loved that all-white. =)

  9. You really have me thinking about wearing shorts with wedge sandals. You look so great in them. I’m not sure I can pull it off, but I’m going to give it a try. Whether it makes it to the blog is a question mark at this point. Gave you a shout out in my most recent post Alison. I love your navy and orange that you wore recently!

  10. Great color combo! I love seeing pinkish colors and shade of blue together. The button front shorts are a great piece, you can really dress those up or down!

  11. My style in three words? Easy. Evolving. Adventurous.

I’m willing to try almost anything once. In a lot of cases, I never try it again, but I’m finally in a place where fashion is fun for me, so one day, I may wear a classic dress and pumps, and the next day, a body con mini skirt and sneakers. I wear whatever I feel like wearing each day, and I love that I finally feel free to do that 🙂

  12. This look can’t be any cuter! I absolutely love the vibrant colors and your shoes are so nice!

If you get a sec, please check out my latest post. I would love to read your feedback. Thank you 🙂

  13. This post inspired me to look through my bag collection. All my purses are brown, grey or black. Blah! Now I’m on the hunt for an emerald green or yellow bag. I want a bag to add a pop of color to my outfits.

  14. I love your first outfit! My mission this week was to find more ways to wear my red slacks, and now I’ll be on the lookout for a good deal on a blue or chambray button down 🙂 This is my first visit (over from the Pinspired linkup), and I’m a fan! 🙂
