I Feel Pretty | Ready for Christmas Shopping

December is one of my favorite months for many reasons, but mostly because of the traditions we have around Christmas.  One of those traditions is, of course, shopping for gifts.  My husband Craig and I make an event out of it every year.  He usually takes a few Fridays off for us to finish up shopping for anything we haven’t gotten online.  We start early in the morning, have a nice, relaxing lunch while reviewing our list and finish up in the afternoon before we have to pick the girls up from school.

On those days, I like to wear outfits that are comfortable and put together, but feel a little festive and fun.  This outfit fits the bill perfectly – comfy flats, festive plaid and just the right amount of sparkle.

Cute outfit! I love the necklace with the plaid shirt. My shopping outfit would be very similar except I would have change the cute flats out for boots since we already have snow here in Wisconsin.

Love the way you incorporated 3 different patterns into the look. And I currently have a frey skinnies crush, I’ve been wearing mine almost around the clock.

Frey skinnies are the best, Alex! There’s nothing wrong with that. Do you have more in your closet? 🙂

Love the look Allison. I have what is probably a really silly question but here it goes: how do you put on your necklace under your collared shirt? The first (and last time) I attempted this I put my necklace on then tried to slip my collar over the chain. The necklace snapped and I have yet to repair it and hence have never tried the look again. Suggestions?

    Thanks

My statement necklace is a little bit longer. Was it too late to return to the store? 🙁 🙁
