I Feel Pretty | Warm

Freezing temps blew into north Texas last week.  Time for puffer jackets, layering and warm socks.  I even broke down and bought my very first pair of rain boots.  They’re so cute and comfy that I’m hoping for more inclement weather!

  1. Rachelle

You look gorgeous and I still put in an effort even if it’s cold. I am still waiting for our cold front here 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving.

  2. Shay Shull

Love your boots and socks!! And that puffer is super cute (while looking nice and warm too!). I need your entire look!

  3. Susan Jeffries

We live in Ohio, so I find it really difficult to maintain a stylish look when it is below zero!! I am actually searching for a cute coat that will keep me warm and stylish at the same time. I love this white puffer! I hope you enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving! Susan

  4. jolynne Shane {Musings of a Housewife}

Funny! I bought my first ever rain boots this fall and finally got to wear them yesterday! I like how you did the socks under them. Mine are really too big on my calves, so I think I’ll try that and see if it looks better!

  5. ADA

Hi Alison. First of you look so cozy, beautiful & warm in your 2 different shades of White. I love the Puffy Coat & that Awesome Sweater. But I’m 1000% in love with those boots, wow!!

I will E-Mail you soon – sorry I have been too busy and I haven’t commented in a while either. I just caught up with blogging in general. My pleasure linking up with you again – hope you like the Outfit. And being in the Thanksgiving spirit, Thank you for being a Great Blogger, Fashionista and Style Inspiration. 6. Sheaffer

You look so cute and cozy!!! I’ve never worn boot socks with my rain boots, but I OBVIOUSLY need to be doing that! Welly socks just went on my Christmas list!

  7. susan

We have no choice here in Toronto! Most days it’s a parka and uggs. Fashion all but goes out the window!

  8. RoselyC

You look great, loving the boots.

  9. Erika Slaughter

I love this look!! You look SO cute and warm!! I also meant to comment the other day. I think it was on your teen guide…but I bought those Stilla lip glosses for myself a while back and love them!!

  10. WE

So pretty!! The white on white look! You look really comfortable and cosy and warm!! Thanks for hosting the link up!

  11. Suzanne

It is nice to look good, but when it gets to -15 C you throw style out the window and just hope you can stay warm. Plus I hate the cold.

Personally I hate puffy jackets. I always equate them with The Michelin Man.

I love the socks peeking out of the boots.

  12. Katie @ Loverly She

haha only in the south do you hope for inclement weather. We already have several inches of snow on the ground – I’d happily send some your way if I could 🙂 ps. the jacket looks great!

  13. Abby

You look fab- I love winter white in coats! I’m just always too nervous to buy one for fear of getting it dirty right away. I try not to sacrifice cuteness when it’s cold (unless I”m in a super rush to get out the door) but sometimes I feel like a marshmallow with a sweater stuffed under my coat! haha!
    Happy Thanksgiving to you, Alison!

    xo Always, Abby

  14. Vodka Infused Lemonade

Love this great casual look Alison. So warm and cozy. Great boots.

  15. Megan

I love the boots and the boot socks! Very cute!

  16. Ashley

Living in KC, we get some pretty serious cold weather during the winter, so I have an aresenal of cute (but cozy!) clothing to attempt to stay stylish November through February. 🙂

    Love the rain boots!

  17. Jen @ Librarian for Life and Style

I grew up in Texas, and a lot of my family lives there, so I’ve been hearing all about the crazy weather in Texas lately! You look super adorable in your coat and rain boots (totally eyeing those rain boots, as they are both classic and cute). 🙂

  18. Lila

    What a nice cozy look!
It’s not that cold here in New Orleans but I still find it hard to stay stylish while bundled up in many scarves and jackets. So for me that means I’ve got to bring some color to the gray days with bright makeup! No pale or deep fall colors for me. I’m still reveling in the bright colors of the summer 🙂

  19. Mrs C

That looks pretty warm to me.. not only that it (the look) is tapered, proportionate and very chic too. You truly know how to stay warm in style, Alison 🙂 Thanks for letting me share!

I Love your jacket! Such a cute winter outfit.

  21. Annette

I though you always have hot weather in Texas, Alison 😉
We have snow and it is freezing cold here in the Alps and layers and down jackets are required on a daily basis.
    Your wellies are really stylish!

  23. Shybiker

I’ve always wanted rain-boots! And these are great.

What made me feel pretty this week were my toes — covered with purple polish!

  24. Tiffany

We’re enjoying some COLD weather in Florida, too! You look cute in your layers!

  25. Ginnie

I love your boots! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving:)

  26. Kamola - 99 Boxes of Shoes on the Wall

Very cute cold-weather outfit! I feel like as soon as the weather drops I forget all fashion and styling completely and just put on the warmest fluffiest things I can find! Gotta fix that 🙂 just linked up for the first time, looking forward to joining every week!

  27. Sukhi

Cute jacket Alison! And those rain boots are perfect! Haha you look cute in whatever you wear Alison and our outfits should be all about the comfort, just like this outfit of yours – perfect for the weather. 🙂
