[Interview] Anti-Aging Secrets with Didi Gluck

Shortly after turning 40, I started to get really confused about both my skincare and makeup routines.  There are so many products on the market claiming to work miracles.  It’s hard to know exactly what to choose and how to get the most bang for your buck.

This week, I had the opportunity to interview More magazine’s deputy editor of beauty Didi Gluck.  In this video, Didi ends the skincare confusion by boiling it down to one specific anti-aging weapon that every woman should be using.  Even if you haven’t turned 40 yet, you can start using this effective and budget friendly product now.  She also shared her best makeup and hair do’s and don’ts for women over 40 and much more.

Great interview, Alison! Love the tip about contrasting hair color in relation to skin tone. Also, very happy that I’m currently using the exact night cream she recommended. It’s worth every penny!

  • Thanks Sarah! Yes, I thought that tip was GENIUS! You are ahead of the curve on the night cream. 🙂

  • great, easy to follow tips!

    • Thanks for stopping by Kristie!

Great advice. I especially like the advice about chap lips, Mine get so bad and now I’m going to stay ahead of it!

    • That was one of my favorite pieces of advice too! Mine got terribly wind burned last weekend. If I just would’ve applied the lip balm beforehand. Live and learn!

I started using the ROC back when you recommended it some time ago. I WISH I had started when I was 40, but I guess 56 will have to do. 😉 I have seen some good results! I agree with her comment about being consistent with your skin care regiment. My skin looks SO much better when I am cleansing and moisturizing daily, even though I’m only using drugstore products! Great interview. Thanks for posting!

    • Thank you Saxon. So happy you are a ROC fan.

Great piece! I like to do a moisturizing facial mask while in a really hot bath. The steam from the bath helps lock in the moisture.
There are several nice ones to choose from on the market right now!

    • I’ve never heard of doing that but it sounds awesome!

  • Mary

Hi! Is it possible to include a face tanner into a good skin care routine?

    • That’s a great question Mary. The important thing with self tanners is to remember to moisturize really well. A lot of them are very drying. Be sure to use a formula specifically for faces too.
