There’s something really special about November. It’s the month where we can collectively catch our breath and take a little beat before the holiday madness ramps up. The calm before the storm, shall we say. It’s also the month where I’m full on listening to Christmas music every day and begging my husband to bring the decorations down from the attic. Yes, I’m one of those people. 🙂

This month’s Pretty Fix focuses on one of my all time favorite neutral color combos – cream and gray. It starts with a basic chunky sweater and gray skinnies . Add in trends like a leopard coat (yes, it’s a neutral!), a gold tassel necklace and a pair of the over the knee boots (I’m a convert!) for a fresh chic look that works for everything from Thanksgiving dinner to shopping those Black Friday sales.

1. Leopard Coat

Don’t let this trend scare you, leopard is a neutral so you can wear it with everything! Update your winter coat collection with a fun leopard print in a classic style. If this print is too far outside your comfort zone, substitute with burgundy or another solid color. Shopping Options: 1/2/3

2. Chunky Knit

There’s nothing cozier than a chunky knit. This neutral goes with everything from your favorite leggings to black ankle pants. Shopping Options: 1/2/3

3. Tassel Necklace

Tassels are here to stay. Get a simple gold tassel to dress up everything from your favorite long sleeved t-shirt to jewel toned blouses and chunky sweaters. Shopping Options: 1/2/3

4. Gray Jeans

No modern denim collection is complete without a pair of gray jeans. They’re a great alternative to blue or black and go with virtually any other color or pattern. Shopping Options: 1/2/3

5. Over the Knee Boots

This is one of those trends that I had to warm up to, but am so very happy I did! I recently bought this pair and they’re extremely comfortable. If you’re not quite ready to try this trend, sub in a pair of riding boots. Shopping Options: 1/2/3
