Woo hoo! Spring break is finally here.
Our family is enjoying a laid back week of stay-cation outings. We usually plan a short trip but the kids’ sports schedules wouldn’t allow it this year. So we’re making the most of a week off and doing what we can to keep everyone entertained and happy.
Some of our plans this week include visiting an indoor water park, going to a children’s museum, playing laser tag and catching an afternoon movie. I want to look put together but don’t want to think too hard about what I’m wearing. Simple is always better.
Have you heard of 5 ingredient meals? Well, I’m taking that same concept and applying it to create some easy 3 ingredient outfits. Outfits as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Last year was a rebuilding year for my swimsuit collection so I invested in not one, but two Trina Turk bikinis. They come in flattering, yet not too revealing cuts and I love the cute details. Totally worth the spend!
A Day at the Museum

Movie theaters are always a little too cold for my liking. This knit provides just the right amount of warmth.

Minty fresh that is.
Even though emerald is officially the color of the year, I’m really crushing on it’s lighter, cooler cousin, mint. Mint has risen to the top of my spring colors list for it’s versatility, it works as a neutral with everything.

Do you have that perfect go-to outfit that you wear over and over?
I do and today I’m going to show you mine.
I’m not ever sure what’s so perfect about it. It’s nothing special. But it incorporates all of my favorite things – layers, a comfy knit, a scarf, skinny jeans and boots.
Let’s start with the shirt. I bought it for a print shoot last year and honestly thought I would never wear it again. I just wasn’t that crazy about the color. Even though it looks burgundy in these photos, it’s more of a deep purple and I don’t wear dark colors very often.

I started pairing it up in different ways – half tucked with boyfriend jeans, loose over leggings and layered with skinny jeans. It quickly became a wardrobe staple.
One chilly day, I threw a knit open front vest and scarf on with it and a new favorite outfit was born.

Welcome to this week’s I Feel Pretty link party!
And this week I feel pretty fierce, thanks to my new leopard cardigan. It was last week’s Payday Pretty purchase – on sale for just $17.99. I couldn’t wait to pair it up with something red. There’s just something about red and leopard that looks so rich. It’s one of my all-time favorite combos.
