Two Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

It’s getting so close I can almost smell the turkey and stuffing! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it’s my second favorite holiday of the year. We’ve had some pretty epic family Thanksgiving dinners in the past and although it’s A LOT of work, I truly enjoy hosting it at our house every year. We usually have two turkeys, several roasting pans of stuffing/dressing and all the sides and desserts you could possibly dream of.

Speaking of dreams…the other night I had a nightmare that it was Thanksgiving morning and I had forgotten to defrost and brine our turkeys. LOL!

Now I’m extra paranoid about having everything planned out and ready. I’ve even already started planning my outfit. These two options have been in my closet for a few weeks. The hardest part will be deciding which one I actually wear.

Today I’m sharing my two Thanksgiving outfit formulas with you to hopefully make your turkey day “dressing” a little easier (see what I did there?) 🙂 What’s an outfit formula you ask? It’s an easy plan for putting together an outfit by either shopping your closet, shopping at your favorite stores or using my exact pieces. As long as you follow the basic formula, you can sub until your heart’s content with pieces that work for your life and style!

Thanksgiving Outfit Formulas

This first formula combines everything I love about fall outfits – burgundy, fun details like ruffle sleeves and tortoise shell and of course, leopard print.

Burgundy Sweater + Pendant Necklace + Black Jeans + Leopard Flats

Tortoise shell is the perfect way to tie together leopard and burgundy. This pendant necklace is one I’ve had in constant rotation for fall.

I have a pretty cool new feature to share today. It’s called the Style Breakdown and shows all the little details that make an outfit click. If you like them, I’d love it if you could pin and share them!

This second look does double duty – it will take you right through Thanksgiving and into Christmas and winter holidays. I love the non-traditional plaid colors in this top! White jeans finish out a fresh, modern winter color palette.

Plaid Top + Statement Necklace + White Jeans + Taupe Ankle Boots

It’s Your Turn: Have you decided what outfit you’ll be wearing to the dinner table this Thanksgiving?
