The kitchen is done and the time has finally come to put it to work! This is the day that has been a few years in the making! We are having the whole family over for the first time in two years and I’ll be cooking in my new kitchen complete with FOUR ovens. It’s a dream come true in every possible way! This is the exact reason why we kept our old wall ovens, so I can prepare a big feast for those I love.
Food is my love language and preparing it for and with, those closest to me, well it doesn’t get any better than that. Now that I know what’s on the menu, it’s time to plan what I’m going to wear. This year I’m keeping it simple with a fitted sweater dress, taupe Chelsea-inspired boots, simple jewelry and I’m topping it all off with a fun fall accessory, my felt hat!
Solid Sweater Dress + Taupe Shoes + Felt Hat
1. Solid Sweater Dress
The dress is another one of those fabulous Amazon finds! It comes in 14 different colors and is priced very reasonably. The amazing texture is my favorite thing about this dress. It’s a ribbed sweater dress but the fabric is not too heavy making it perfect for a Texas fall day!
2. Taupe Shoes
This year I added another pair of taupe boots to my arsenal. They are Chelsea boot-inspired and a little higher than my other pair. The block heel on these boots are the perfect height! Psst, I also have these in white! While I did go with an ankle boot for this look you could easily opt for flats or even a knee-high boot.
3. Accessories
Let’s talk accessories! My favorite has to be my new monogramed necklace from Brook and York. I featured it on my gift-giving guide this year and I love the layered simplicity of it! I paired it with my Alison + Aubrey square hoop earrings and finished it off with an unexpected accessory, my felt hat!
