I Feel Pretty | Challenged

So I had this whole post put together for today that took days to work on, then at the last minute I had to cancel it because of a technical issue.  Time for plan B!

Oh well, that’s just fine because now I get a chance to share some of the awesome outfits happening over in the Spring Style Me Challenge.

FB Banner Generic Style Me Pretty On Monday, the first outfit of the 21 days was released.  It contained four of the eighteen pieces from the spring wardrobe shopping list – a denim jacket, button down shirt, white jeans and leopard flats.

Here’s how I styled it.

Here’s how two of the challengers (ironically both named Lisa) perfectly paired it up.

Day One Collage If you want to see how the rest of the challengers styled it, then I guess you’re going to have to come join us!  There’s still time to sign up.  Go HERE to sign up and get immediate access to your shopping list and the outfits.  No worries if you don’t have all of the pieces, we have plenty of improvisers in the group.  You’ll be in good company.

  1. I’m loving participating in the challenge. The best part is the facebook group. SO ENCOURAGING! Come join us! What made me feel pretty today? My son was going out early this morning and he made extra coffee for me. I woke up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and my cup sitting beside the pot. Love him. 🙂

  2. These ladies look so nice! This is such a fun way to connect with other women! Thanks Alison! I am printing the outfits and making a style journal from them!! I linked up today with my Stitch Fix! Blessings! Susan

  3. Adorable look. Might have to steal that one. Inspired by another one of your looks today on the blog. Hope I did it justice 🙂

  4. I love having gingham shirts. I love to dress them up and down. I get a lot of use out of the black and white one I have. I love the way you styled yours.

  5. What made me feel pretty: I was at the doctor’s office with my 20 yr old son. The doctor walked in, looked at me, looked at my son. He looked confused and finally asked, “Who are you?” I said, “I’m his mom.” The doctor replied, “Oh, I thought you were his sister!” I felt giddy and pretty the rest of the day!

  6. Great start to the challenge Alison. So simple and chic. I need one (or two) gingham shirts. I’d love a Navy & a Black one. The ladies from the challenge did awesome too, Both Lisa(s).

    Thanks for hosting.

  7. Alison you and the ladies you inspired all look fantastic! So sorry to hear you lost your post that is very frustrating, but I must say at the last minute you came up with something very nice to share!

Please feel free to visit my blog today, I’m co-hosting a great linkup for all bloggers to post about themselves and I would love to have you join!!! It’s called #AllAboutYou and all posts are tweeted and pinned hope to see you there 🙂

  8. I love that look! Love the way you cuffed the shirt and let it show off around the jacket. I always feel like wearing jackets hides the fun details in shirts – will have to try that!

  9. Technical issues are the worst! : (

Gingham and jean jackets go together like peanut butter and jam if you ask me.
