Payday Pretty | In the Nude

Confession:  I’m kind of obsessed with nudes right now.

What I really mean is I’m kind of obsessed with the color nude.  It’s just so fresh and perfect for spring!

From pumps and nail polish to pencil skirts and blouses, this color is popping up with spring’s pretty pastels and brighter hues as the perfect complementary color.

And I’m totally on board with the trend.

For this week’s Payday Pretty inspiration, I’ve curated some of my favorite $50 and under picks to keep you in the nude.

Fact:  Nude heels make legs look miles long.

They also work with virtually everything.  Don’t have a pair yet?  Let’s fix that.

Nude nails are always in style.  Invest in a classic polish like this and save money by not visiting your manicurist!

This nude pencil skirt gets a makeover for spring in of the moment lace.

A pretty peplum and fun polka dots create a French chic look with this blouse.

Dior creates the most beautiful classic nudes.  This lipstick has just the right amount of sheen.

  1. I absolutely love those shoes, and the skirt is beautiful {I’d just worry that I’d catch the lace on everything – how do you avoid wrecking that much lace}. Happy weekend! 😀

  2. I like to wear nude around my house…

I kid, I kid. I need nude pumps but I never know if I should get nude-nude or a camely-nude. I still need some. They’re a great change to basic black.

  3. Alison, I would love for you to share your thoughts on nude hosiery. With pasty white legs, I feel under dressed if I’m not wearing tights. Unless, it’s summer and I’m wearing a sundress style of dress that’s more casual. Is nude hosiery too matronly? Are there brands that are better than others?

  4. I love a good nude shoe! They are awesome for shrimpy people like me. 🙂 I like khaki and blush but a true nude doesn’t work for my skin tone in clothing. 🙂 Also – I feel vaguely undressed whenever I try on a nude top or skirt. Is that weird? Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. I love nude, but unfortunately I am one of those fair skinned people that look like they just rose from the grave if I wear nude.
I guess I will have to be satisfied with nude polish and just admire it on others
Hope you are having a great weekend

  6. Items on this collage are so chic and delicate, love the shade of the lipstick-I got the same one from YSL and love it!!! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful look with the link up party last week, would love to see you back today !!!!
    Many kisses

  7. obsessed with nudes 🙂 haha you’re funny. Im loving it too right now actually. That skirt is gorgeous!!

  8. Thanks for stopping by Alison! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this entire look! I even have a (thrifted) nude lace skirt that is patiently waiting for me to lose 10 pounds 🙂 yep I broke my rule about not buying something that doesn’t work for me right now TODAY … it was that pretty! pippa
