Pretty Fix: The November List

The Pretty Fix is a monthly feature at Get Your Pretty On that features my top five picks for the month that you can shop for on your own to stay in style…all at a price you’ll love. The idea for it was born out of frustration that some of you have had with other monthly box services that you feel “miss the mark” or are too pricey.

Each month, the Pretty Fix includes five affordable items that I personally recommend to stay on trend.  This month, I chose some cozy favorites to keep you warm as we head into winter.

Want to know the best part? You can buy everything in the monthly fix for around $100.

Consider me your budget-minded personal shopper. Here’s your November Pretty Fix.

NOVEMBER PRETTY FIX TOTAL = $101

1. Olive Quilted Vest – $25

A quilted vest is a great way to add a layer of warmth when it’s not quite cold enough for a winter coat.  This color is so versatile and acts like a neutral so it plays well with many different colors and patterns.

2. Duck Boots – $30

I saw these in store a couple of weeks ago and fell in love, except I wasn’t loving the $90 price tag.  I found this pair of original duck boots for $60 less online and they are now mine.  The cute plaid lining is so warm and toasty.

3. Cable Knit Sweater – $17

This cozy mustard cable knit sweater pairs perfectly with leggings or skinny jeans.  Finish out the outfit with the duck boots for a warm and comfy casual ensemble.

4. Wool Touchscreen Gloves – $12

Wool touchscreen gloves are a must have for winter texting.  These have a super warm lining and come in eleven different colors.

5. Vintage Wool Socks – $17

This four pack of vintage style cotton and wool socks will bring a smile to your feet.  Let them peek out above your favorite boots to add a fun bit of print to your outfits.

It’s Your Turn: What will you be adding to your wardrobe to stay on trend this month?

    • It’s a wonderful wardrobe staple Stephanie!

Great Pretty Fix this month. Love the olive vest. I may have to get that! 😀

    • Thanks Saxon. The olive vest is hard to resist! Happy shopping!

    • I can’t wait to see you style them. 😉

  • I just bought a pair of duck boots and LOVE them! Out here in the mid-Atlantic we get a lot of rain through the fall and winter and I needed a comfy shoe for walking the dog while staying warm and dry…..the duck shoe fits the bill! While my tall rain boots are nice, even with warm socks my feet get cold and they really aren’t comfy for a longer walk. I love the vest as well and wish I would have included one in my fall budget! Hope you are doing well, Alison!

    • I am so glad you are loving your duck boots Rebecca!

    Hi Alison,
I like your posts but when I click on the items, I get a link like http://rstyle.me/n/bdpmfwpw36 which is a blank page. Is there an app I need? I’m using Firefox on a Mac.

    • Hi Erica, Thanks for keeping me aware. I just tested the link and it worked for me. Do you have a PC? I find that Google Chrome works wonderful!

  • SUCH a great price on the duck boots and the vest! Oh, I just added them to my cart!

I emailed this list to my 18 year old Granddaughter to see if she would like these items for Christmas. She liked the boots, sweater and socks! Thanks for the inspiration. I will add a piece of jewelry and be through with her Christmas shopping with the exception of a few stocking stuffers. I still have the 15 year old to shop for and may need to look over the list. I love the socks, too.

    • Thank you Lorraine! There may be a list coming out soon that’ll help. 😉 Stay tuned!!

  • Denise Z

How’s the sizing on the Duck boots, Alison? True to size?

    • Yes, they are true to size. Although I went a half size up to accommodate thick wool socks. I’ll be wearing them at the barn this winter so those are a must have!

      • Denise Z

        Thanks!

  • Erin

I look forward to the monthly pretty fix almost as much as the challenges!! I had made a challenge return just a few days before and chose an olive vest at ON – super fun to see it on the list! And my duck boots arrived yesterday! All we need now is a post with YOU styling the pretty fix items 🙂 Always look forward to that! Thanks!!

    • Aw, thanks Erin! I’m glad you enjoy it. It’s one of my favorite things to put together. You are ahead of the curve with that olive vest purchase!

  • Those socks are SO CUTE! I have needed some warmer socks to go with my boots and those are perfect!

    • They are my favorite for the colder season Heather Anne.

  • Perfect cozy pieces for the winter, I really like olive vest and those socks are so cute.

    • Cozy and stylish for the Winter! 🙂 🙂
