SAHMonday: Graphic Tee, Cardigan and Jeans

Welcome to another edition of SAHMonday – outfit inspiration just for the stay at home and work from home moms of the world (like me!) who aren’t heading out of the house on Monday morning.  You can check out the other outfits in this series here.

These outfits are perfect for when you want to feel comfortable, yet put together, so that you can face the day and any errands you may need to run.  Plus, most of these outfit formulas can be pulled straight from your closet!

Graphic Tee, Cardigan, Jeans…and a disclaimer

My apologies in advance, over the next couple of weeks you’re going to be seeing some of my recent purchases mixed and matched a bunch of different ways.  While some of you truly appreciate this (because you’ve bought the pieces and can play along!) others get annoyed by seeing the same stuff repeatedly. If that’s the case, GYPO may not be your cup of tea…and that’s ok!  There are plenty of blogs out there that feature new stuff on the daily but my philosophy has always been “less stuff, more style”.  I live by it, which means I don’t shop very often and when I do buy new things, I try to show you as many ways as possible to pair up what you already have.

Disclaimer out of the way!  Back to the outfit.

You’ve already seen this cardigan, these jeans and these slip on sneakers paired up here and here. Today I’m adding my new graphic tee.

Last week, I was dogging Target’s “A New Day” line due to quality and then, karma bit me.  I walked past this graphic tee on my way to the checkout and had to have it.

SAHM Outfit Formula

Cardigan + Graphic Tee + Distressed Jeans + Gold Sneakers

Remember – you can try out this outfit formula using pieces from your closet. Be creative and substitute where you need to! Because I shop my closet a lot, sometimes my pieces are no longer available but I link up similar items.

These tiny tassel earrings are one of my favorite pieces added to the GYPO Collection for spring.  Only 10 pairs are left in stock but more are on order and will arrive in 4 weeks.

I can’t get enough of the bows on the sides of this cardigan. Details make the outfit!

No apologies needed, this is why I subscribe to your blog. I shop for a few pieces each season and then mix and match them with what I already have in my closet. That is the whole point of a capsule wardrobe!

You are the ONLY fashion blog I subscribe to and it is BECAUSE you don’t buy new clothes all the time. Our budget doesn’t allow for many clothing purchases and I hate to shop anyway. I like that many times, I already have something in my closet to put the look together. So, thank you! And keep doing what you are doing. Some of us need your fresh take on fashion!

I love how you mix and match the pieces you have–that’s why I follow you! And that tee? I bought the same one for Valentine’s Day and am so happy to see that you’ve styled it! Happy Monday!

    • Thank you Sheila!

So, I’ve washed and dried the Mas Amor shirt twice and it has shrunk so much, it’s now in my teen’s closet. She’s also the recipient of A New Day cardigan sweater I bought that just miniaturized in the dryer. I’m a little disappointed in this new line at Target, such a bummer.

        • I am so sorry to hear that! Did you let your Target store know?

          • Sheila Charbonneau

No, I didn’t. I just figured that was the roll of the die.

I agree with the comments below! You don’t need to apologize. 🙂 I love that you are practical and stylish. You do a great job keeping us in the know, but teaching us how to use what we have and be happy with it. Your blog is one of my favorites!

  • ok that cardigan is adorable

Thank you! I bought a graphic tee on clearance a while back and have struggled to style it in a way that worked for me. I recently got a long cardigan that is the perfect piece to layer over the graphic tee. I hadn’t considered this combination until reading your post today. Love your blog and that your outfits and styling possibilities are doable for me.
