Favorite Strapless Bras Perfect for Summer

Favorite Strapless Bras Perfect for Summer

From the skinny strapped sundress to the light and airy spaghetti straps of our favorite tank, a strapless bra is a quintessential summer closet staple. However, finding one that’s comfortable AND can support the girls can be daunting. There are different types and styles from a bandeau to a convertible strapless in which the straps can be worn in many different ways or not at all. So what do I do when I’m looking for first-hand, reliable suggestions? I go to my computer and straight to the Get Your Pretty On Pretties Facebook page of course and wow did they come through! When I say this page is an amazing resource and full of amazing women I’m not even exaggerating one bit. There were suggestions for every need and every bust size and I really do mean every bust size from A cups to I cups. I can’t say enough how much I love our Pretties!

Now if you’re wondering what my favorite strapless bra is, I’m going to be honest and tell you that I’m still looking for one that I can actually say I love. I did buy this bandeau from Target’s Auden line and it’s really comfortable but now I’m on the hunt for a strapless bra that has a deeper sweetheart neckline and one with convertible straps would be nice too. So let’s get right to it and see the roundup of strapless bra brands recommended by the Pretties!

1. Wacoal

Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Bra

Wacoal Halo Lace Strapless Bra

The Wacol Red Carpet Convertible Bra was the overwhelming Pretties’ favorite! It comes in nude and black with a sweetheart neckline and two straps so you can create endless combinations or lose the straps altogether. It also comes in band sizes from 30-44 and cup sizes B-I. Priced at around $68 many said it was worth the investment and fully supported even the bigger cup sizes. Another Wacoal favorite is the Halo Lace Strapless Underwire Bra which can be found on both the Wacoal website as well as the Soma site. It also comes in black and a sand color and band sizes 32-40 and cup size B-DDD.

2. Soma

Soma Embraceable Strapless Bra

Stunning Support Stunning Starlet Strapless Multiway Bra

Soma was another highly recommended brand that got the Pretties talking. They stated that they were super comfortable and supportive. The Embraceable Strapless Bra and the Stunning Support Stunning Starlet Strapless Multiway Bra were the top two types mentioned by name. The Embraceable Strapless Bra comes in band sizes 32-40 and cup sizes A-DDD while the Stunning Support Stunning Starlet Strapless Multiway Bra comes in band sizes 32-44 and cup sizes A-G. Plus Soma also offers free shipping and returns on all full-price bras so you’re not stuck if you’re trying to find the size that fits you best.

3. Third Love

Third Love 24/7™ Classic Strapless Bra

The Pretties showed some love to the brand Third Love and their 24/7™ Classic Strapless Bra which comes in four different colors ranging from a very light beige to a chocolate brown. Band sizes go from 32-48 and cup sizes AA-I. This bra also had great reviews on their site but the biggest difference between this brand and others is the availability of cups in a half size.

4. Cacique by Lane Bryant

Lightly Lined Multi-Way Strapless Bra

Cacique by Lane Bryant was another brand that was repeatedly mentioned for their comfort and their ability to stay put especially for bigger bust sizes. Their Lightly Lined Multi-Way Strapless Bra was named one of the favorites. It comes in nude and black but the band sizes have a wider range going from 32-46 and cups going from A-K.

5. Torrid

Torrid Microfiber Lightly Lined Strapless Bra

Torrid Microfiber and Lace Push-Up Multiway Strapless Bra

Torrid was another brand that came up quite often boasting support, comfort and that it doesn’t slip. The Torrid Microfiber Lightly Lined Strapless Bra comes in a few different colors and band sizes 38-50 and cup sizes B-DDD and even up to an H in some band sizes. Another favorite variation is the Microfiber and Lace Push-up Multiway Strapless Bra. This one has a pretty lace detail and gives the girls a little boost. It also comes in a pretty blush color as well as a fun black lace style and a teal and black lace style. Band sizes range from 36-50 and cup sizes are from B-H.

Honorable Mentions

The below strapless bras, while they may not have received a ton of votes, they still received enough recommendations to be recognized.

1. Body Bliss 2nd Gen DD+ Strapless Bra

2. Spanx Up for Anything Bra

3. Sculptresse by Panache Women’s Dana Strapless Bra

4. Lilyette® By Bali® Tailored Strapless Minimizer® Bra

5. Wonderbra Ultimate Silhouette Strapless Bra

If you’re still having trouble finding a strapless bra you love it could possibly be that you’re trying on the wrong size. If it’s been a while since you’ve been fitted it’s worth the time and effort to have a proper bra fitting done. Most bra fittings need to be scheduled in advance but certain places allow walk-in appointments. It’s best to call first and see what their policies are. Most department stores offer bra fittings but you may also have some local boutiques around. A quick google search can help you find one.

Madras Plaid in Pink and Blue

Madras Plaid in Pink and Blue

Have you ever put on a piece of clothing that instantly sparks nostalgia? This dress was that piece for me. When I first pulled it out of the box, I couldn’t believe how much it brought back memories of my first pair of madras plaid shorts I wore in high school. Funny thing is I remember my mother telling me then how she had fond memories of this fabric from her youth. What goes around comes around, right? I have a feeling we’ll be seeing madras plaid again and again!

This madras plaid dress from Ann Taylor hits all the right notes for summer. It’s SO easy to dress up or down simply by swapping out a heeled sandal for a flat one. And let’s talk about the bow tie at the waist for a second, I mean how DARLING is that?

While I was in my pink and blue mood, I also put together these more casual pieces – a ruffle sleeved seersucker top with chambray tie-waist shorts. I love the little details on both pieces in this outfit!

20 Sassy Swimsuits Under $50

20 Sassy Swimsuits Under $50

I think it’s pretty safe to say that it’s officially swimsuit weather unless you’re one of our fabulous Pretties from Down Under then you’re just heading into the winter. If that’s the case, hold on! It will be summer again before you know it! Regardless of where you live it’s a vast understatement to say that life is anything but normal. It’s a new normal we’re dealing with. Summer is usually a time of carefree vacations and fun festivities with friends and family yet I know many have had to alter or cancel their plans. More and more people are staying local and using the resources they have whether it’s the sprinklers in the back yard or taking a day trip to find a beach or a lake. No matter what your summer plans hold, having a great swimsuit is never a bad idea. And if you’re on a budget like most of us are during these unprecedented times, finding a budget-friendly suit is an absolute must! That’s why I’ve been searching the internet to find what I think are some great swimsuit finds. I threw in some with fun prints, some solids and a few coverups as a bonus, so no matter what your summer holds, you’re ready for a little sun.

A Little Red, White and Blue for Your 4th of July

A Little Red, White and Blue for Your 4th of July

This post is sponsored by Walmart.

The 4th of July is coming up and for many that usually means cookouts and fireworks with friends and family to celebrate America’s Independence. While this year will still include grilling and fireworks, I’ll be enjoying those from my own backyard with Craig and the kids. Everything is different this year but that’s okay. We are all in this together and that doesn’t mean that I can’t still get into the holiday festivities with a little red, white and blue.

Time and Tru Peplum Ruffle Tank Top

I found this amazing denim color, peplum ruffle tank top which is perfect for the Texas heat. I love that it has a soft texture to it and the peplum detail is so cute!

EV1 from Ellen DeGeneres Charlotte Cut Off Destructed Jean Shorts

I’m a sucker for a great pair of white denim shorts and I love that these have a little distressing to them. If you’re not into shorts check out the links at the bottom of this post for other white bottom options.

Brinley Co. Comfort Women’s Espadrille Ankle-strap Wedge

I already have my white from the shorts and my blue from the top so of course, it would only make sense to add in my red for an official 4th of July look. In the summer I love a great pair of wedges and these ones by Brinley Co. are so cute and add the perfect pop of color I wanted for this look.

Magid Solid Red Straw Handbag

Simple is beautiful and that’s how I feel about this red handbag. I love the simplistic design and the single strap with the silver hardware. This bag is perfect for carrying everything I need!

Lesa Michele Polished Crescent Hoop Earring in Sterling Silver

With so many other pops of color I decided to go simple on the earrings. This is a fun take on a hoop earring with its crescent shape and their hook closure ensures they’ll stay on.

Foster Grant Women’s Silver Aviator Sunglasses

You can never go wrong with a classic and aviators are just that. I love how the silver rim of the glasses coordinate with the silver crescent earrings as well as the silver hardware on the handbag. These glasses are the perfect way to finish off this look!

A huge thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post and continuing to support small businesses like GYPO!
