I don’t know about you all, but I am absolutely loving the colors this season! I didn’t realize just how ready I actually was to transition from the bright, vibrant colors of summer until I started seeing all the deep, rich, jewel tone colors of fall! And one of my favorite ways to add these beautiful colors is to start with my nails! Yes, it is time for me to remove the bright pink and dive into something a little deeper and richer. Below are my top five nail colors I can’t wait to wear this season!
1. Emerald Green
This is one of my favorite jewel tone colors and is also the color of one of my favorite shirts, yet I have never worn it on my nails. This is a color that should compliment most of my fall wardrobe and will be perfect even transitioning into winter.

2. Oxblood
We’re swapping out our bright, fire engine reds for something a little deeper. Oxblood is similar to burgundy but has more of a brownish undertone instead of a blackish purple making it perfect for this time of year.
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Polish in Jezebel

3. Burnt Orange
If you watched Alison’s Fall Fashion Q&A Facebook Live then you also learned that Burnt Orange is actually considered a neutral! That means it will go with anything and I’m so excited to try it out!
OPI It’s a Piazza Cake
Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture Nail Polish 61 Brun Henne
Orly Valley Of Fire
4. Gray
Gray is slowly taking over and I mean that in a good way. From home decor and kitchen cabinets to jeans and accessories, so why not our nails too? This season we are swapping out nude tones for gray ones and I love that there are so many different shades, everyone is sure to find one that goes well with their skin tone.

5. Navy
Black is very popular this fall but if you’re not ready to go that dark then navy is an amazing option. It’s a great color that looks good on many skin tones and will complement any fall outfit.
OPI Iconic Infinite Shine Russian Navy

What colors are you excited to try? It was a tough decision but I decided to officially welcome fall with Burnt Orange!

We love talking closet staples around GYPO and today’s edition of Style Your Budget covers just that! If you’re new around here, Style Your Budget helps you shop smarter by showing you one outfit prompt styled at five drastically different price points.
One of the things that makes Style Challenges work so well is that we don’t provide you the clothes. That may sound like a bad thing at first, but we promise it isn’t. By providing you with a style prompt rather than a box of clothes, you get to decide what the outfit ultimately looks like (and how much it costs).
If you already own all the pieces in the prompt you can shop your closet for a free outfit. Woohoo! However, if you need to fill in a gap in your wardrobe you get to choose which store, and more importantly how much you are going to spend, to fill in that gap.
This outfit is a fall look from the Closet Staples Casual Capsule Wardrobe Builder. (FREEBIE ALERT – Get the shopping list + 4 outfits from this capsule here.)

We always recommend investing in the best quality that your budget allows when it comes to your closet staples. However, if you are trying out new trends, fluctuating between sizes, or need a more budget conscious option we hope this post has helped you see that you truly can feel confident in what you are wearing no matter where you shop or how much you can afford to spend.
It’s Your Turn: What version of the outfit is your favorite?

In case you missed it, last month we introduced a new monthly feature called Team GYPO’s Word of Mouth where we share all things that help us feel pretty, get organized and just plain feel wonderful!
This month we are getting closer and closer to that fall feeling and the promise of colder weather. It is time to start switching over our closets, rediscover our favorite pieces and fall in love all over again. I love breaking out my sweaters, scarves and boots. I’m also excited to add a few new items this season, which is what led me to ask our GYPO team:
What new fall clothing piece are you most excited to wear?

This fall I purchased my first ever vest. It’s a 32 Degrees Puffer Vest. I bought a deep purple one to keep me warm while I take my morning walks. Can you imagine how excited I was when I saw a similar item on the Style Challenges Fall 2018 Capsule Wardrobe shopping list??? Not only will it keep me warm, but Alison is also going to teach me how to wear it as an adorable, anytime layer. Now I just need the temperature to drop enough to actually wear it.
Suzannah – Boots
I need to update my boots. I’m trying to decide between
ankle boots and
riding boots, but regardless, they’re on my short list!! I have a little bit more time because I live in California, but I cannot wait until I find some great cognac colored boots.
I’m most excited to have some real fall days so I can wear
my schoolboy camel blazer. Menswear-inspired pieces are really having a moment and this piece is both on trend and a wardrobe staple at the same time. It’s a two-fer! I have all sorts of plans for layering it up – with gingham and chambray button downs, over a striped shirt, with fall florals, over teal and burgundy blouses – the weather just needs to hurry up and cooperate already!
I’m really excited to wear my new
Old Navy High Rise Rockstar Jeans! They have built-in sculpting, which is perfect for a curvy size 14 like me! I thought the high-rise cut would be unflattering, but it’s surprisingly comfortable and cute. I’m looking forward to ditching shorts and this hot Florida weather to get back into jeans. In the fall, I typically wear a good pair of denim with a
basic white tank,
cardigan and
booties.- my go-to weekend uniform!
I finally found a pair of booties that I LOVE. I’ve been making do with a cheapie pair of booties (honestly they are more of a shootie style) that I just didn’t love so I’ve been keeping an eye out for a new pair. A small display of
western inspired embellished vegan leather booties from Seven7 caught my eye in a store and I pulled the trigger. The leather is super soft and they are so comfortable!

Kathryn – Long Cardigan Sweater
I’m excited to wear all my long cardigan sweaters again! They make the cold weather and snow much more bearable and they are so cozy to wear.
So after years of eyeing them up, I finally made the plunge and bought myself a pair of Hunter Rain Boots and they were on sale! I am so excited to wear them and with all the rain we are expecting I shouldn’t have to wait long. They are not traditional but I love the bright colors and they will pair nicely with my black rain jacket. Did I mention they are actually comfortable too? Bring on the rain! I’m ready!
Your turn! What fall piece are you most excited to wear?

If you’re in need of refreshing your closet staples for fall, then you might want to pin this post! It’s Your Turn: What are some of YOUR favorite closet staples for fall? Did they make this list?

As we jump into fall and kick off the Fall 2018 Capsule Wardrobe, this Style Your Size post has become the perfect example of just how flexible Get Your Pretty On Style Challenges really are.
Whether you are brand new to GYPO or if you’ve been around since the beginning, seeing how these Pretties have styled their size is sure to be inspiring.
Thank you so much to the Fall 2018 Capsule Wardrobe members who have shared their version of the Day One Outfit of the Day.

Style Your Size: Follow the Daily Prompt Exactly
For some members, following the prompt exactly as it’s laid out works best. The members featured in this section may have mixed up one of two of the items, but for the most part, their outfit matches Alison’s suggestion perfectly.
Terri says, “I love how the A+A tassel necklace takes this outfit up a notch!”

Terri size 10 / Stacy size 20 / Tiffany size 18 / Maegan size 6 / Melissa size 24
Style Your Size: Substitute One Piece
One of the many great things about the Style Challenges is that you can substitute pieces. Alison offers substitution ideas within the program. For these members, a simple swap of the cardigan color makes the outfit a great fit for them!
Beth says, “I love creating multiple outfits from each daily outfit prompt. I am always finding new ways to wear what I already have in my closet! The GYPO program and community have helped me feel beautiful at my size (16 or so) and my age! (60!!)”.

Cindi size 14 / Ruth size 2 / Beth size 16 / Kerry size 12
Style Your Size: Subtract a Piece
Many members are finding fall temperatures where they live to be too warm for layers. As the members in this section show, subtracting the cardigan leaves them able to enjoy the outfit even when it’s warm out.
Laura says, “I didn’t use the cardigan because I live in Sunny Florida where the heat index was over 100 today”.

Peggy size 14 / Shanni size 4 / Laura size 4
Style Your Size: Use the Prompt as a Guide
Alison advises that you shop your closet first. Sometimes that means the Daily Outfit Prompt becomes more of a guide than a strictly followed recipe. The members in this section show just how together an outfit can be, even if the prompt isn’t followed exactly.
Jill (that’s me) says, “I am both in the process of losing weight and on a pretty strict budget. I’ve challenged myself to follow the Daily Outfits from what I already have in my closet this time around.”

Tammy size 2 / Eileen size 14 / Jill size 12
