This past week at GYPO has been all about helping make your whole family festively fashionable this holiday season…and make your life just a wee bit easier. We’ve already seen some holiday looks for boys and moms but today it’s all about the GIRLS!
Oh how I miss dressing up little girls for the holidays! My big girls – Aubrey, 19 and Ava, 15 aren’t so much into letting me put them in cute dresses and holiday themed outfits anymore. I have to rely on my memories of Christmas past and all the adorable little outfits that they wore through the years.
That’s quite possibly why I enjoyed putting this post together more than any of the others. I got to relive those days of dressing our girls up and live vicariously through the blog.
All four of these sweet little holiday outfits for girls are from J. Crew Factory. Ladies – these pieces are SO well made! The dresses feel like they are heirloom quality yet they’re totally budget friendly and we all know that makes us moms absolutely giddy.
In my experience, I’ve found there are three types of holiday outfits for our kids – a comfortable, casual look for activities like school parties, a dressier yet still comfortable version for occasions like family get togethers and dressed to the nines options for church and fancier events.
Let’s get started with a fun look that’s perfect for school.
Outfit 1 – School Holiday Party
Layer a Christmas themed long sleeved graphic tee under a neutral cardigan and pair up with slim fit pants that transition easily from party to playground. Of course no holiday outfit is complete without a bit of sparkle! These flats are absolute perfection.

Outfit 2 – Family Holiday Gathering
This one is great for family parties but would also work for a family photo shoot. Pair this plaid ruffle neck top with slim fit pants and sparkly flats. Add a right-sized strand of pearls for the perfect finishing touch.

Give me all the Christmas dresses! It was WAY too hard to pick just one so I went with my two favorites. This red ponte dress with a jeweled collar is perfect for pairing with a sweet little cardigan.
