I Feel Pretty | Distracted

A funny thing happened  on the way to the museum.  The British Museum, that is.

When my daughter Aubrey and I took our day trip to London while on spring break in Paris, we got a wee bit distracted.

Our intentions were good – walk a few blocks to the British Museum and get lost in there for a few hours.  We had just seen Night at the Museum:  Secret of the Tomb, so we were both eager to see where it took place.

Unfortunately a few blocks into our stroll, we stumbled upon a three story H&M and never quite made it there.

Instead, we spent those few hours distracted by cute clothes and accessories.  I came home with the gray scarf, graphic t-shirt and blush cardigan in today’s outfit.

      • I am in ankle boot love. Can you share who makes the actual ones, not the “similar”? Thank you so much!

        • Rochelle, do you a specific ankle boot that you would like more info of? I would love to help!

          • Thank you for replying! Yes, the zippered, perforated taupe colored ones you are wearing above. -Not sure how old the post is, so I’m hoping they’re around. Thanks again. I really like your site, style, and tips. I just found it. -Not ready to take a challenge yet though. 🙂

          • Oops – maybe they are gray, not taupe?

          • I’ve been searching everywhere to get you the same pair that I got, but I can’t find it! It’s been a couple years old. I’m sorry Rochelle. If I see it online, I’ll let you know.

        • Let me do some digging Rochelle. Crossing fingers!

          • Thanks much!

          • Alison – Any luck on the maker/style of the ankle boots?

    • Oh no! Yes, try the local stores. It’s so beautiful.

  • That’s hilarious – apparently H&M has more pull than the museum and I don’t blame you!!!

  • What a funny story! At least it time well spent, you got some new goodies!

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.

  • H&M is a wonderful, easy place to get distracted, that is for sure! Love your pretty scarf!

  • brandie

I went to H&M for the very first time just yesterday (I KNOW! I live in a small town, OK? Lol). Let’s just say that will be my first stop from now on 🙂

Anyway, imagine my delight when I saw your post because I bought that T-shirt!!!! Not only do #ifeelpretty, but I also feel pretty cool!

    • Great minds think alike. So cool Brandie. Enjoy the H&M visits!

  • Well, I must say I’m shocked that you would not go to the museum and spend all your time at a store we have in the states, but the outfit is adorable! It’s so cozy looking, yet chic. I love it.

    • The three story H&M was a little hard to resist. 🙁

  • Your H&M choices look great – I’d say shopping at H&M in London was a good stop on your trip!

    • t was not planned, promise! 😉

I would love to know how you tied that scarf! Is it an infinity scarf?

    • Hi Laura! Yes, it’s an infinity scarf. The work was done for me. 🙂

  • Yes! Things like this is what makes me excited for when my daughter is older. Getting lost in a store for hours just because we can. You two are just the cutest!

  • Those boots are too dang cute, love the zipper detail. Sounds like you had a blast in London!

  • I need those peep toe booties! ahhh!! I love everything Paris, too! I need to go back…

    • Yes! It’s a must! 🙂

  • That is the BEST story! I love it

    • Thank you, thank you!

  • Missing the historical things were totally worth getting this scarf! You can google and find out about all the museums anyways 😉

  • Love those peep toe booties!!

    • Isn’t it gorgeous!?

  • Becky

Love all the pieces. Can you explain how you “draped” your scarf? It is all in the styling, which I lack…

    • Thank you Becky! I got lucky and the scarf is actually an infinity scarf. I don’t need to do any extra work. 🙂 🙂

  • Your outfit looks so comfortable and perfect for every day. I also really like the scarf that you are wearing.
