Hey Pretties! Welcome to this month’s Style Your Budget which features one of the outfits from the Outfit Formulas® Spring 2021 Capsule Wardrobe. As much as I love wearing my jeans, I’m always looking for a fun alternative and this spring I discovered chinos. I will be the first to admit that I wasn’t sure about them, however after trying them, I loved all the options they opened up. They can be dressed up or easily dressed down. Below I styled them with some of my favorite closet staples including my striped top and denim jacket. I couldn’t decide how to finish them off so I’m showing both options, white sneakers or metallic shoes.
If you’re new to Style Your Budget, it’s where I offer style inspiration for a fun seasonal look. The looks often feature a trend or two and I pair it with some classic closet staples. Most items you may already have in your closet but in case you don’t, I offer different price points to help you fill in the gaps. I truly believe every woman, no matter their size, age, ethnicity, or budget, deserves to feel pretty and confident. Now let’s check out this month’s Style Your Budget formula.
Denim Jacket + Striped Top + Chinos + White Sneakers or Metallic Shoes

Hi Pretties and Happy New Year! I’m kicking off 2021 with a special Style Your Budget featuring all closet staples that are perfect for winter but versatile enough to be used for multiple seasons. I can’t stress enough how having a good foundation of closet staples will lead to so many possibilities. By adding these timeless items to your closet foundation you can then easily and seamlessly mix in seasonal trends without feeling like you need to change your whole wardrobe.
After looking through a variety of combinations I decided to start with my button-down chambray shirt, one of my absolute favorite closet staples and then paired with my white denim pants which I’ve really been loving for the winter. I added in my taupe boots which have been a staple in my closet forever. They’re perfect because they can be styled with gray and black tones as well as brown making them also really versatile. Then I finished off this look with a neutral cardigan and my hoop earrings. This look is casual but cozy and feels like a fresh start going into the new year.
And if you’re new to Style Your Budget, this is where I style an outfit and provide different retailer options at different price points. In some cases, the items may already be in your closet but the different price points are there if you’re looking to fill in some gaps or possibly add an investment piece to your closet.

I’m really excited about this month’s Style Your Budget because I’m featuring a look that was inspired by a 2015 Fall Capsule Wardrobe outfit formula. Why am I doing this? Because I really strive to put together looks that can stand the test of time – looks that you can feel great in now as well as five years from now. For this capsule, one of the items I fell in love with was a pair of burgundy jeans. I paired it up with a pink blush colored top and the combination was dare I say magical. I then added a scarf because well, it’s fall, a great neutral bag, and finished it off with some metallic flats. I really loved that look which is why I decided to give it a little update. Unfortunately, because the original look was styled five years ago the actual pieces are long gone however below are plenty of similar options at different price points because, after all, that’s what Style Your Budget it all about!
For the revamped version of this look, I kept it all pretty much the same but I did add a twist to the shoes. I know we have our Pretties that love snake print and those who don’t. I often offer a metallic shoe as a great alternative but now, I’m offering snake print as a great alternative to the metallic shoe in the formula. Again, I wanted to show how versatile the formula really is. GYPO and Outfit Formulas really is for everyone – every body and every budget.

In the world of fashion, or more specifically the fashion I have in my closet, there’s something I like to call a “one and done” outfit. It’s one simple piece that you can throw on, add an accessory or two, and look complete and ready to go. One and done pieces include dresses, jumpsuit, and rompers. I love a good one and done piece and they’re perfect for the summer. There’s so much flexibility in these types of pieces and they can easily be dressed up or dressed down.
For this month’s Style Your Budget I decided to focus on one such one and done piece and that’s the jumpsuit. Now I do realize this can be a polarizing item meaning you either love it or you hate it but hear me out. They come in so many different types of material some say they’re almost like wearing pajamas but really cute, sophisticated, and trendy ones. They also come in fun patterns or simple solids meaning you have tons of options and even different lengths so if you want something a bit cooler for summer you can opt for some cute crops or if you’re a shorts gal, a romper is a perfect substitution. Then add in some great shoes and some earrings and you’re done! Plus, here’s a fun little tip I learned from the Pretties Group, it’s sort of like a faux jumpsuit. Pair up a top and bottom in the same exact pattern or solid and presto! Instant faux jumpsuit! This is an awesome way to create the jumpsuit look without actually wearing a jumpsuit.
Before I get to this month’s Style Your Budget formula, I want to give a warm welcome to all our new Pretties and tell them exactly what Style Your Budget is. It’s a bi-monthly feature where I share a versatile and easy to follow outfit formula and then showcase five different looks each with a different price point. Then you can shop your closet, which I always recommend doing first, and if you have any gaps you want to fill you can shop where you want and at the budget you want. And can I say I always LOVE seeing how you all take the outfit formulas and run with them! I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with this one and done piece! Below I’m pairing it up in several different ways just to show you how versatile this formula can be. Now because it’s a one and done piece the formula is short but don’t let that fool you because the possibilities are endless once you add in your accessories! Bonus, top off any of the below looks with a cute jacket or cardigan for even more options!
For this month’s Style Your Budget I wanted to pick something extra bright and cheery. I know for some life is slowly progressing towards something considered kind of normal while for others, they’re still not there yet. That’s why I love all the pops of color this look has to offer, it’s sure to make you smile and provide a welcome outfit distraction. Plus it’s the perfect casual look from the Outfit Formulas™ Summer 2020 Capsule Wardrobe!
Just to refresh, Style Your Budget is where I feature an outfit formula and then style it using five different stores at five different price points. I always recommend shopping your closet first then fill in any gaps you may have using any of the price points you want. It’s so important to me for everyone to know that GYPO and Outfit Formulas™ works for everyone, of every size and of every budget!
While the look below features a white denim jacket, it can also be paired up with a white cardigan or you can even skip the jacket all together! And even though it’s styled with shorts, that doesn’t mean you have to! Why not try a skirt or maybe some cropped denim. Have fun with this formula and make it your own!

I am so glad I was part of the Fall 2019 Style Challenge. It gave me confidence and so many great outfitt ideas. The ladies in the group were very supportive and I will defintetly be doing another challenge in the future.

I’ve been participating in the GYPO Style Challenges for three years now and I’ve loved it. I’ve always loved clothes, but I didn’t know how to put outfits together. My closet is now full of mix-and-match outfits, I have learned how to dress myself, and there is no more stress in figuring out to wear. The private FB group is full of wonderful ladies that build each other up. It’s so fun and is seriously the best group on FB.

Get Your Pretty On has changed my life, seriously. I have always chased what is trendy but found from season to season, that things go out of style and I was wasting money on items that I would only end up wearing a few times. GYPO has enabled me to simplify my closet, helps me make smarter purchasing decisions, and I feel so put together and confident using the outfit formulas that are provided. This program is a GAME CHANGER. I've been following GYPO for a few years now and my only regret is not jumping on board sooner.

Great community of ladies, helping each other look stylish, without breaking the bank, and using much of what you already own.

GYPO challenges have been one of the best things I have done! It had taught me so much more than just creating a closet of clothes that I love but also to have confidence in myself, how to pick and choose colors that work for me instead of against, and had given a wonderful community of Pretties who are so special.
