Happy June pretties! Summer is off to a great start around the Lumbatis household. We’re thoroughly enjoying our slowed down pace, days at the pool and planning out our upcoming beach vacation (which btw – I’m working on a packing list, so stay tuned).

This month’s Pretty Fix is basically my summer uniform – a t-shirt, denim shorts and some fun accessories to add interest. Let’s talk about these olive shorts for a minute. When I put these on the summer challenge shopping list, I still didn’t have a pair in my own closet. I searched high and low for the perfect fit and length and finally found this pair. I love them so much that I got them in blush too! For reference, I went up a size in these.

Did I happen to mention that navy and olive is one of my favorite new neutral outfit color combos? I’ve kind of been obsessed with it since last fall. This navy tee is just drapey enough for a perfect half tuck. Here are some other options: 1/2
I know, I know – if you’ve seen me wear this red tassel necklace once, you’ve seen it a hundred times. There’s a great reason for that, it goes with so many things. Spring 2017 trends have been a hot topic around GYPO lately. On Monday, I covered the controversial “neck scarf” and today I’m tackling the next biggest topic – the bomber jacket.
This is another polarizing trend you either love or hate. Either way, I’ve gotten a lot of requests lately for how to wear a bomber jacket and what to pair it up with.
To that I answer, pair it up as simply as possible. A floral bomber jacket transforms your t-shirt and jeans into something special while also adding lightweight warmth to your spring outfit. As your friend, I need to advise you that the bomber jacket can be kind of tricky. It’s one where you really should try it on to find the right one. Many of them are too stiff, bulky, shiny or short for my liking. My favorites are made of thinner fabric that are neither cropped or long. This is a personal preference thing though so don’t give up if you don’t find one you love right away!
This month’s Pretty Fix is perfect for this time of the year. It features a floral bomber jacket, plain white tee, light wash skinny jeans and two other spring trends – lace up flats and a choker.

I’m not sure about your neck of the woods, but February’s weather in north Texas can definitely be unpredictable. One day we’re in boots and sweaters, the next it’s t-shirts and sandals! It’s hard to have an “in-between” wardrobe that can run the gamut of daily temperatures.
This month’s Pretty Fix is perfect for this time of the year. It features a lightweight rib knit sweater that’s not too hot and some preppy touches like suede loafers and a tassel tote. Sometimes I love an outfit so much when I’m putting together a fix, that I order all of the pieces immediately. This is one of those special outfits!
