Pretty Fix – Holiday Edition

Hey Pretties! It’s already December and this year is quickly coming to a close. I hope you’re enjoying this holiday season as much as I am! My nest is full with all the kids under one roof and we’re trying to fit in as many fun holiday activities as we can. Chrismas is almost here and New Year’s close behind and with that, my inspiration for this month’s Pretty Fix outfit. If you’re wondering what the Pretty Fix is, it’s six pieces I pick for you to stay on trend. You can shop where you want (or shop your closet) to pair up an outfit. For this month’s Pretty Fix I wanted to pick something fun and comfortable to bring in the New Year with, but items that can also be worn post-holiday season. You know how I love versatile pieces I can wear time and time again!

1. Long Sweater

I went back and forth over whether to pair this outfit up with a top that shimmered or one that was soft and cozy and I decided to go with soft and cozy and add the sparkle elsewhere. That also means that this sweater will not only be perfect when paired with the right accessories for a festive New Year’s Eve party but it’s something that can be worn anytime. It’s super easy to dress up or dress down and while I love this particular color, any color sweater will work with this outfit combination! Plus it’s long enough to cover your butt when wearing leggings which I know we Pretties like. Sizing Note: The sweater pictured above runs big so you may need to size down.

2. Faux Leather Leggings

If you already have these then you know how amazing they are! If you don’t have them yet, it’s still not too late. I really love this trend and they are a fantastic addition to this outfit. They can amp up any look but when paired with a long sweater or cardigan, they are great for everyday wear as well.

3. Metallic/Glittery Heels

Here’s the sparkle! Yes, glittery heels are just fun and pretty and it’s the time of year to step out of your comfort zone especially when it comes to something sparkly. They’ll also pair great with a black dress or even boot cut dress pants so you’ll get multiple uses out of them.

4. Hoop Earrings

While hoop earrings are timeless, there are still ways to change them up. These hoop earrings add some subtle sparkle and pair well with any outfit. By picking ones a little smaller they can go perfectly with a statement necklace without being overwhelming.

5. Statement Necklace

A great statement necklace is a closet staple that can easily change the look of any outfit. I love this one with the black satin ribbon because it adds a fun twist and the mix of pearls and metallics add a softness that goes perfectly with a sweater.

6. Clutch

A clutch is a great accessory to dress up any outfit. Now if you’re anything like me, you need a daily purse that can actually hold all your stuff, but sometimes it’s nice to minimalize for night out. When picking out a clutch make sure it can at least hold the basics, cell, lipstick, cash/card, your ID and maybe some mints.

Bonus: Makeup

Finish off this look with a fun shimmery eye, a glossy lip, and some sparkly nails because hey, it’s the holidays and a little extra sparkle never hurt. I’ve selected a few fun shadow palettes, lip colors and nail polishes to compliment this look.

Your turn! Do you have any New Year’s Eve plans? What’s your favorite part of this look?
