What three words would you use to describe your style?
Mine would have to be casual, classic and simple.
Today’s outfit is all three.
This is what I wore for our Memorial Day festivities on Monday.  (If you want to read more about it, check out this post).  I wanted to wear something with a nod to patriotism without looking too kitschy…or dressing up like Uncle Sam.

This is part two in my weekend wear posts this week.  To see my Saturday style, check out Monday’s post.
Today’s outfit is Sunday’s look.  This is what I wore to church and lunch with my family, followed by a little shopping, again.  Because style bloggers shop…a lot.  That’s just how we roll.  🙂
And yes, a fedora saves the day again.  More like saves a bad hair day again.

OK, so today’s post title is totally confusing because, surprise! – I’m not wearing pink at all.  But what I am wearing is this set of bangles from fashion jeweler In Pink.  This arm candy adds something special to my maxi dress.
[In Pink Gold Bracelet Set]
In Pink also does something really unique.  When you click on a product, they give you recommendations for a coordinating nail polish color and other pieces of jewelry that go with it.  Click HERE and scroll down to see their picks for my bangles.

This striped maxi dress would be perfect for a summer outdoor wedding!

One of the great things about blogging is that I’m so much more willing to take risks with fashion now.  Last year at this time, you never would’ve caught me mixing patterns or wearing printed denim.  Actually, if I’m being really honest, I didn’t even own patterns or bright colors at that time.
My style has completely evolved in the seven months since starting this blog.  It’s more fun now and a true representation of who I am.  I don’t  hide behind solid colors or safe outfits anymore.  It’s been more than just an evolution of style.  It’s been about coming into who I truly am and not being afraid to express it.
It’s Your Turn:  How is your style evolving?  Do you feel like you’ve come into your own or are you still on your way?

Now, let’s take a look at last week’s Pretty of the Week.
She’s Lacey of Sunny and Turquoise!

Her crisp white blazer, cobalt blue blouse and jeans make for business casual perfection.  Not to mention, we have that same pair of fabulous wedges!

Life has been moving at an uncomfortably hectic pace lately.  So last Friday, I packed up the car and the kids and we drove to Austin for the weekend to meet up with my husband who is there on business.
It was so refreshing just to get away from all of the responsibilities, sports practices and household duties for a few days to recharge our batteries and enjoy some family time.  We shopped, swam, toured the state capitol and ate loads of yummy food.  Oh and took outfit pics downtown, of course.  🙂
