DIY | Halloween Hair Bows

It’s a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon which puts me in the mood for all things fall.  It’s the perfect day for baking and crafting.  Three fresh pumpkin pies just came out of the oven and this easy craft is keeping the rainy day boredom away.

Earlier today I headed out to Michael’s for some craft-spiration and found these adorable Halloween ribbon spools.  Although I’ve never been brave enough to make my own ribbons, I thought it couldn’t be too hard to figure out.  My motto is if you can Youtube it, you can do it!  And that’s just what I did.

Follow these three easy steps and you too can make your own Halloween hair ribbons for your girls.

#1 – Head to Michael’s and buy some ribbon and wrapped hair clips.  We got all of this for under $10.   You will also need thread and a hot glue gun.

#2 – Watch this simple tutorial to make a pinwheel hair bow.  It’s seriously so simple, anyone can do it.  My thirteen-year-old and eight-year-old made theirs with minimal assistance from me.

# 3 – Cut ribbon, assemble layers, glue them together and fasten them to a hair clip.  Then enjoy your Halloween hair bows!
