1. What ‘season of life’ are you currently in?
Parenting littles
2. What led you to try out a GYPO Style Challenge?
Initially, it was because I found it on the GYPO blog, and thought it sounded fun. That was when I was married with no kids and although it was TONS of fun, I gave it up for awhile when I got pregnant and had my baby. I regretted this decision when my baby was over a year old because I spent that entire year feeling frumpy and in a rut. I decided to rejoin in Fall 2017 and got my mojo back.
3. What’s your best advice for first time Style Challengers?
Participate!!! Comment on people’s pictures, post your own, engage in the fun…you will learn so much and make some great friends. I’ve never seen another group like this one. Everyone is sweet, caring and not an unkind word is ever spoken. If you ask for critical feedback, people will give it, but in a nice way.
4. What piece from your closet do you feel your best in?
Anything brightly colored!
5. What are your favorite stores to shop?
Target, Old Navy, JC Penney, Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls
6. How has GYPO Style Challenges impacted your life?
I feel like I have gotten my style back. I feel great every morning when I wake up and know exactly what to wear, and that it is so well put together.
7. If you are an annual member, what was your favorite benefit of the annual membership?
Not yet, but plan on being one!

Hey pretties! Happy December! Let’s just pretend like this isn’t already the second week of the month and I didn’t forget to do the Pretty Fix, last week, ok? Yep, it’s shaping up to be that kind of month!

I give you the ideas, you set the budget and do the shopping!
This month’s Pretty Fix is like a normal fix on steroids because you’re getting three outfits instead of just one! When this twisted front cozy fleece sweater landed on my doorstep last week, I couldn’t resist putting together a few looks around it. This cozy lightweight fleece sweater comes in 18 different colors and no matter which one (or ones) you pick, you can still pair them up like I did in the three outfits below and it will totally work! The color I’m wearing is called “Blue Ceramic”.
Sizing Tip: This sweater runs a size big, I ordered an XS and it fits perfectly.

1. What ‘season of life’ are you currently in?
Just turned 50 and I am struggling with almost being an empty nester. Never thought that would happen but it’s real life. After being a mom for 26 years, I am working on figuring out the next chapter. It’s hard but very exciting!
2. What led you to try out a GYPO Style Challenge?
I had been following GYPO and thought about trying one but never did. After seeing the annual membership sale last year, I decided to give it a try!
3. What’s your best advice for first time Style Challengers?
You can try new things and still stay true to yourself. You don’t have to purchase everything. The Facebook group is amazing and you will get so much out of participating with all of the other incredible women of all ages in the group.
4. What piece from your closet do you feel your best in?
Right now my new Blank NYC jeans.
5. What are your favorite stores to shop?
Loft and Target
6. How has GYPO Style Challenges impacted your life?
I have always loved fashion and have a pretty decent wardrobe but I wasn’t wearing any of it on a daily basis. I didn’t realize how much I was wearing athletic wear until I joined the challenges and started getting so many compliments. The eye opener was when someone said, “Wow, you’re dressed again!”
7. If you are an annual member, what was your favorite benefit of the annual membership?
I like purchasing up front and then not worrying about it again and I like being able to see all of the outfits right away.

Parenting a little!
2. What led you to try out a GYPO Style Challenge?
I am a “fashionista” of sorts but always ended up with way too many clothes that I didn’t know how to put together. I love being shown exactly what to wear, and saving money by having a capsule!
3. What’s your best advice for first time Style Challengers?
Buy what you love! Don’t just “buy to buy.” Make sure it fits, the color flatters you, etc.

6. How has GYPO Style Challenges impacted your life?
I save money, feel put together and save time. I struggle with chronic illness and this helps me to get out of bed and get in real clothes each day.

1. What ‘season of life’ are you currently in?
I am a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom to two tweens, aged 9 (going on 16) and 11.
2. What led you to try out a GYPO Style Challenge?
I stumbled on Alison’s blog and absolutely loved her casual-classic style – one of the few “mom fashion” bloggers I found who was super-fashionable for REAL life – so once I realized she had a challenge that could help me emulate her style, it was a no-brainer.
3. What’s your best advice for first time Style Challengers?
Don’t be afraid to make it your own! If you don’t like a certain color or style, substitute it with something more appropriate for your taste or needs. View the challenge as a template which you can customize any way you want – the community loves and will celebrate your creativity! Take your time shopping, and don’t feel pressured to have every piece. Most importantly, have fun! It gets easier and more natural with every challenge 🙂
4. What piece from your closet do you feel your best in?
Currently, I’m loving my cozy knit long gray cardi, a striped t-shirt, a navy fine-knit sweater, and taupe ankle booties – all challenge buys! But I can honestly say there is nothing in my closet I don’t feel good in anymore.
5. What are your favorite stores to shop?
I love the Gap and Banana Republic – most of my clothes are from those two stores. I find some great pieces at Old Navy, Joe Fresh and H&M. I love Target, but don’t shop there much since we can only order online in Canada 🙁
6. How has GYPO Style Challenges impacted your life?
I have fewer clothes but more actual outfits, and I never, ever get caught feeling like I have “nothing to wear”, whatever the occasion. I never shop between challenges anymore – so I’m saving money on clothes too. Most importantly, I feel like I have a modern, up-to-date but classic style that makes sense for my life and that I feel good in!
7. If you are an annual member, what was your favorite benefit of the annual membership?
I became an annual member for 2017, and I loved knowing that my wardrobe for the year was taken care of – no stress about clothes this year for me! I loved getting to know the ladies in the group better as each challenge went by. The “Re-discover Me” challenge was an unexpectedly huge bonus – this challenge helped me set the year off on the right foot, and I come back to it anytime I feel a little off-track or unmotivated. I will definitely be an annual member again in 2018!

I’ve been participating in the GYPO Style Challenges for three years now and I’ve loved it. I’ve always loved clothes, but I didn’t know how to put outfits together. My closet is now full of mix-and-match outfits, I have learned how to dress myself, and there is no more stress in figuring out to wear. The private FB group is full of wonderful ladies that build each other up. It’s so fun and is seriously the best group on FB.

Get Your Pretty On has changed my life, seriously. I have always chased what is trendy but found from season to season, that things go out of style and I was wasting money on items that I would only end up wearing a few times. GYPO has enabled me to simplify my closet, helps me make smarter purchasing decisions, and I feel so put together and confident using the outfit formulas that are provided. This program is a GAME CHANGER. I've been following GYPO for a few years now and my only regret is not jumping on board sooner.
